About Patagonia
Patagonia's values reflect those of a business that started as a band of climbers and surfers who wanted to stay out as long as they can, doing what they love, no matter the weather. Patagonia's design approach to every product, from technical shells for snow and ice, to moisture-wicking underclothes, to everyday clothes, demonstrates a functional bias toward simplicity and utility. Quality is impeccable, and the guarantee lifelong.
Patagonia's love of wild and beautiful places demands participation in the fight to save them and to help reverse the steep decline in the overall environmental health of the planet. They use organic cotton; most polyester is recycled. They give moral support - and 1% of sales, $25 million to date - to hundreds of grassroots environmental groups in the U.S., Europe and Japan.

Love, love, LOVE! Had an older Patagonia down vest, decided to upgrade to this one as the "sweater" version fits much better. Fits close to the body - manages to be flattering despite being a puffer vest. Also longer length than the previous version, which provides better coverage. I have not had any problems with excessive feathers coming out as another reviewer mentioned. I am a HUGE fan of this product - will be wearing it as an outdoor staple. Perfect for spring/fall (or even a warm winter day) outer layer in San Francisco weather.
Brands I'd also recommend: Arc'Teryx, Mountain Hardwear, North Face

You would never guess that a vest this cute and lightweight could be as warm as it is. The truly amazing part is that, while it's toasty, it's never too hot. I can wear it around the house, in the car, & running errands and forget I have it on. I have this item in a medium, and can easily fit a thin fleece underneath, & it still fits nicely under a shell without being too bulky. (I'm 5'4", 145 lbs.) The absolute best piece of down clothing I've ever owned. Pricey, but definitely worth every penny.

I am in love with this vest! The fit is snug and very flattering. It provides instant warmth without being bulky. If it is like all my other Patagonia pieces, it will be extremely durable. Great job!

I'd been looking for a thin, down fitted vest for a couple of years to no avail. I wanted to wear it under a coat on very cold days or over a long-sleeved shirt on slightly cooler days. I keep an eye on Patagonia and like their products and quality, but colors are not always appealing. I like black because it is neutral for my needs and I happened on this one on Zappos. It is perfect. I am an active, evenly proportioned woman 5'5 and 118 pounds and bought the XS. I've purchased from Zappos before. Their service is outstanding.
Brands I'd also recommend: Athleta, Royal Robbins

Very comfy vest! Love it. Definitely looks a little different on the model. I ordered a size XS and it fits perfectly. I am 5'4”, 120 lbs, 32 DD. The zipper does not even pull in the chest area (something I struggle with). It is form fitting without being too loose. Definitely small enough to wear under a jacket, and perfect to wear over a cute sweatshirt or long sleeve shirt. Highly recommended!

I ordered 10 black down vests to try them out and this was the most flattering, however, it also was the thinnest and the shortest. I live in LA, so warmth is not the most important thing, but even with our mild climate this vest doesn't provide much on its own. Nice mesh inner zip pocket. The edging around the arm holes is an elastic band, which gives a cleaner look but is perhaps not for everyone.

My wife is a North Face fan, and this was her firt Patagonia item. She absolutely loves it. Fit is true to size, and she can wear many different color shirts underneath her vest. It is warm enough for quick errands or walks with the baby. Highly recommended

Smaller than I would have expected, but fits just right. I'm petite: five feet tall, 105 lbs. I wish it were a just tad larger -- but a size up would be too much. I'm keeping it. It's warm when it's cold outside, but not too warm when it's warmer outside. I love that it's so lightweight!

I absolutely love this. I was not sure about a vest, I was not sure that it would keep me warm enough not having anything on my arms, but this is perfect. It keeps me warm and toasty yet it is not bulky. It is light as a feather, too! I also have the Retro X jacket, which is good when it is colder and windy, but this vest is a little more versatile. I highly recommend this vest, and the black is perfect as it goes with everything.
