I use this bag for work, carrying papers and supplies. The side pocket is perfect for small frequently used items like a cell phone- you can access it without opening the entire bag. It's pretty sturdy. This replaces a leather bag that I had for years which finally started falling apart.

I searched Zappos.com for hours before deciding on the Patagonia Daily Grind Shoulder Bag. I wanted a shoulder bag for use around town with or without my laptop. I didn't want a bag either too big or too small. The Patagonia Daily Grind Shoulder Bag has proven perfect for my needs. It also makes a cool appearance.

I bought this for my girlfriend's 17" Macbook pro and there is no way it fits a 17" laptop. The laptop pocket is only 14" wide.

I bought this bag in the cardamom (tan) color as a gift for a man. It looks manly enough and I really like the color; however, I thought it would be a canvas fabric and it was more of a nylon (my mistake, though, because I did not read the description carefully). Overall, it looks like a well-made bag.

Ordered this as a gift and he loved it! His laptop fits just fine and there is a little zippered pocket inside. I tried to buy at my local Patagonia store but they didn't carry the Daily Grid bags. I ordered it on Zappos at around 2 pm and it was delivered at around 1 pm the next day. That is why I use Zappos!

Nice bag, hold my Mac air, iPad, bag of cords, all the pens etc, and a note book and still has plenty of room to flex out for the occasional stuffing of additional stuff for traveling etc. Only negative I have is the shoulder strap doesn't have a non-slip section on it so if you just wear over the shoulder it tends to slip down, but the bag is probably made to go over the head and across the body which works fine but not when your wearing a suit.

Great bag, looks exactly as in the picture. Holds its shape even when it is not full, comfortably holds a 13" laptop and accessories. I was not sure how the color would turn out, but it's a nice shade of blue. I take it to work every day.
