Patagonia's values reflect those of a business that started as a band of climbers and surfers who wanted to stay out as long as they can, doing what they love, no matter the weather. Patagonia's design approach to every product, from technical shells for snow and ice, to moisture-wicking underclothes, to everyday clothes, demonstrates a functional bias toward simplicity and utility. Quality is impeccable, and the guarantee lifelong.
Patagonia's love of wild and beautiful places demands participation in the fight to save them and to help reverse the steep decline in the overall environmental health of the planet. They use organic cotton; most polyester is recycled. They give moral support - and 1% of sales, $25 million to date - to hundreds of grassroots environmental groups in the U.S., Europe and Japan.

My last Capilene 4 Expedition got misplaced unfortunately so I just ordered a new one. Can't wait for it to arrive and put it to use. And for anyone who thinks they aren't warm enough...well, they are simply wrong. I'll go skiing, hiking, etc. all day long with just this and a shell. Great product, highly recommend it.

The fit, feel and comfort of this is really nice, and as for warmth considering how thin it is, it does a remarkable job of retaining one's body heat. Personally it's difficult for me to stay warm in cold weather but this top is 'tops.' Ordered a medium for my 5' 10", 165 pound slim build and am very satisfied, especially at the sale price. Bottom line...it's Patagonia quality and does what it's designed to do. And Zappos, like Patagonia, is #1 for products and customer service in my book.
I'd also recommend: Marmot, Mountain Hardwear and Terramar

I expected more from Patagonia. Expedition Weight well you would assume that it was pretty Thick and Heavy. Well its NOT. More like a light base layer.
