I like the shoe but it was just barely too small. I wore them and the fit seemed perfect. The shortness in the length was so subtle that I didn't feel it until the time I wore them for a four mile walk. I had pain in my toes for the rest of the day & the next day. I have rather narrow/slender feet so this was a surprise. I'd compare the fit to New Balance and suggest you order a half size larger than your regular size.

These shoes are great! I work 12+ hour days on my feet and needed a good pair of comfortable supportive shoes. I tried on 10 different brands and these won the comparison test. They are very comfortable and look great as well! I am happy to have discovered them. They do run a half size small, so note that when ordering. These are really great though and I'm a tough customer. Enjoy

Runs short! A very nice, trim shoe. I'm looking for a Europe walker. Unfortunately, this one runs short and doesn't fit my orthotic.

About Patagonia
Patagonia's values reflect those of a business that started as a band of climbers and surfers who wanted to stay out as long as they can, doing what they love, no matter the weather. Patagonia's design approach to every product, from technical shells for snow and ice, to moisture-wicking underclothes, to everyday clothes, demonstrates a functional bias toward simplicity and utility. Quality is impeccable, and the guarantee lifelong.
Patagonia's love of wild and beautiful places demands participation in the fight to save them and to help reverse the steep decline in the overall environmental health of the planet. They use organic cotton; most polyester is recycled. They give moral support - and 1% of sales, $25 million to date - to hundreds of grassroots environmental groups in the U.S., Europe and Japan.

These are the most comfortable shoes that I have found! They are so light and supportive but I forget I have anything on as I walk, and walk, and walk! The soles are very non slip even hiking down slick dirt trails. They look good enough to wear with nice casual wear. I have a pair in the light color and the dark, though the dark color is darker than it appears on the website. I absolutely love these shoes and I hope they never quit making them!

These shoes are amazing! They feel very light on your feet and are super comfortable. They are great for wearing out for a long walk or just around town. They do run a little small. I usually wear 8½ and ordered a 9 and they fit perfect! These are the best shoes! They are well worth the money!

Okay so I haven't actually taken these off-roading yet, but just wearing them on the street, they are light-weight and very comfortable. I do agree that they run small. I am a size 7.5 and the 8 fits me nice. A 7.5 would have been WAY too small for me. I love the design; it was hard to find a hiking shoe that wasn't incredibly ugly. The material is so nice and I feels very eco-friendly. :) Seems durable and can't wait to take it across the globe!

Excellent quality, excellent style. I haven't worn these for a hike yet; I have to admit I've been wearing them as my around-town shoes since I walk so much! I've already gotten several compliments. In all my Patagonia shoes, I've had to go a half size up, and these were no different.

Love the shoes. I normally wear a 6.5, have a bit of a wide foot, the 6.5 fit perfectly. Great support, water/mud-proof, great tread on the bottom for wet conditions and very comfortable for walking.

Love the look of the shoes - like classy stylish oxfords. Also like the support and grip. Good for long walks even over dirt tracks. One size tip - I had to order a half size larger than my usual size. This usually happens to me with Patagonia shoes.

I really liked these and they seemed to fit fine. After wearing them about a dozen times, however, I noticed that my toe tips were sore afterward. They must run barely small. I liked them, though, so I'm considering ordering them in the next half size up.

They took some breaking-in period, but now that they are less stiff. I like them a lot. There is lots of room in the toe box; soft, cushy, but thick enough sole, so you don't feel every rock through it. I am not totally satisfied with the lacing system. If I tie them too tight to give my foot more stability, my circulation is cut off. From all the shoes I tried on, this is the only one that worked for me. I usually wear 8.5 in shoes and always need to go a full size up for hiking shoes, so got a 9.5.

I bought these shoes for a trip to New Zealand where I knew I would be doing a lot of tramping around in relatively warm weather. I heeded the advice of previous reviewers and ordered a whole size up -- I usually wear a 8.5 or 9, and my feet are wide. I got a 9.5, and they fit perfectly. I actually love these shoes...right out of the box they were super comfortable, they are cute with long or short trousers, they didn't rub on my achilles which is usually a huge problem for me, and after literally no break in period I wore them for hours in airports, in mud and rain, up many steep trails, and even climbed two volcanoes, loose scree and all, in them. They were perfect, light comfortable, and nary a blister. When I got home they looked a little the worse for wear (understandably!) but cleaned up pretty well with a stiff brush. I highly recommend them.

I loved them when I got them, but they haven't held up for the money. In less than 7 months the heel is worn through. Yes, I walk a lot, but I switch off with several trail shoes. These are fairly light weight and won't cut it for real use. I've owned several Patagonia's over the years and am realizing I love the look and fit, but for the money I'm not getting the mileage in the outer sole or inner sole.

I've had mine for over a year. Love love love them. I walk/run on a ranch which is rocky. I have these and Keen, but am returning a pair of keens still in the box to get another one of these as my current keens wore out after 7 months and these are still going strong on the rocks! I do have a 1/2 size larger than I usually wear in athletic shoes. Get these shoes if you need comfort and support. I can't wear regular athletic shoes anymore.

These shoes are so cute, and they're so comfortable right out of the box. I rarely mark excellent arch support, but these definitely have it. I have wide toes and a narrow heel, and these have plenty of room--but not too much--in the toe box and don't hurt my instep. In some shoes I wear a 7 and in some a 7.5. In these a 7.5 fit perfectly.
