Patagonia Better Clog Smooth

I have narrow feet and plantar fasciitis and these shoes work great for me! I normally wear a 7 1/2 AA width and ordered a 7 1/2 medium and they are perfect with a thin sock. The arch support of this shoe is just as good as a Dansko clog but it is not clunky looking like a Dansko can sometimes be. I ordered the sable brown and they are a deep rich brown tone. They could be more stylish but they fit good and feel great. I recommend this shoe if you have narrow feet and need arch support!

I have 2 pairs of this shoe in the brown and black nubuck (non shiny) leather and LOVE them. They are super comfortable and I wear them almost daily. I was psyched that Patagonia came out with the smooth leather better clog and I again ordered 2 pairs of them- one in brown and one in black smooth leather. They look nice but are NOT comfortable at all! They were both so narrow and uncomfortable that I had to send them back. The smooth leather is stiffer but I could not get over how narrow they were. Hopefully Patagonia will re-design the smooth leather better clog to fit more like the nubuck predecessor because I do think that the smooth leather is a more polished and dressier looking shoe. If they fixed this fit issue I would certainly order them again!

I have this in the brown nubuck (or whatever it's called) and love them! VERY comfortable, true to size and width. That's why I ordered another pair in the black smooth leather. OUCH! The leather was so stiff I could barely get them on, and had a hard time getting them off. I certainly couldn't walk more than a couple of steps. They were the most uncomfortable shoes I've ever put on my feet. I don't understand why there's a difference in how the same shoe feels in two different leathers. I highly recommend the regular Better Clog, but not the smooth leather Better Clog.
