My plantar fascia is acting up and the only shoes in my closet that I could wear without pain were a very old pair of Papillio sandals that were, shall we say, less than cool-looking. But I just rec'd these (in one day!) and voila! Same comfort to my aching heel but so damn cute and stylish, even my teenage daughter loves how they look! Be aware I usually wear a 10 and I wear a 40 in Papillio, not a 41. They run big, and are narrower than Birks, footbed is similar but deeper heel cup and better arch for my extremely flat feet, love.

Our daughter, who is a college senior, has some problems with her knees. The ordinary flip-flops just do not cut it! These shoes not only look great, but are much better for her feet! Thanks Zappos for great service!

I'm a faithful birki, papillio wearer. This was my purchase for the spring so I've only worn them in the house to gently break them in. I bought them for style and they are way cute. A bit less comfy than the double strap style due to toe grip but time will tell.
Brands I'd also recommend: Spring Step sandals, almost as comfy as Birks

I'm so, so sad that these must got back. They're adorable and supposedly good for plantar fascia. The plastic piece between the toes rubbed blisters. The right shoe had rough edges on the plastic, which I is the reason I have two blisters on that foot. I'm so disappointed...I've worn Birkenstocks and Papillos for years and have never had a problem until now.
