- High gloss leather upper with an adjustable buckle closure to ensure easy on-and-off wear and a secure fit.
- Soft suede lining absorbs moisture and ensures feet do not get hot and sweaty.
- Contoured natural cork footbed will mold to the shape of your foot creating a custom footbed that supports and cradles you with each and every step.
- The toe-segment molding allows flexible movement of the toes and promotes the natural rolling movement of the foot.
- A broader heel cup gives the foot a firm hold and maintains the heel profile.
- A less aggressive inner and outer longitudinal arch-supports distribute body weight evenly when walking.
- Dual layer Jute: The upper jute layer is placed around the edge of the footbed; it serves to draw moisture away and increase the longevity of the shoe. The lower jute layer stabilizes the entire sole.

Love! This is my 3rd pair of Papillio. When you get a pair, make sure you take your time in breaking them in. I would not recommend wearing them more than 4 hours (standing/walking). After a couple days, you should be good to go for like a million years! They last forever and are so comfortable. These look so great. The best of both worlds, comfort and style.

I have never owned a pair of Birkenstocks before and love how these are a bit "edgy" with the shiny/metallic finish. They look fabulous and exactly shown on the website (thanks, Zappos for doing such a great job with all the photos). The only thing was that I ordered a size 36 (5-5.5) as shown on the size chart and I normally wear a size 6 and they fit perfectly. Thanks, Zappos, for super fast shipping as always!

These are so gorgeous. The material is very modern and the color neutral. They do run big. I'm an 8.5 or 9 US and always a 39 Euro. Birkenstock's 39 is a full size too large for me.
