Although this won't fit a larger cell phone (I have a Droid Bionic and there's no way that thing'll squeeze in this), it will fit maybe a smaller one, house keys, some cards, and maybe some cash. There are quite a few pockets in this; some zippered and some slit, and it's a very functional wrist wallet. It is a tad bulky and might take some getting used to when running, but this is still a pretty efficient way to carry your essentials when out for a jog.
Brands I'd also recommend: Reebok, Asics
