I've recently read articles of how identity thieves can walk next to you and snatch info from your credit cards, drivers' licenses and passports with devices that read the chips in those cards. I was happy to see Zappos offer this case that blocks such devices. I use it instead of a wallet, placing my license and all my plastic inside it. I do wonder, however, if it might cause scanning difficulty for the TSA. On a recent trip, my carry-on luggage was searched by a TSA attendant who went straight for this case (which was stashed deep inside my luggage.) Coincidentally, I also had a huge wad of cash in the case, and that could have drawn LAX TSA attention, since LAX has had problems with TSA stealing from luggage. I watched them with an eagle eye. You must, too.

We like these (but, of course, can't tell if they actually work). It would be nice if they came in bright colors (to locate easily and differentiate between owners) and were a bit smaller to more correctly fit the passport. Also an outside zip pocket (RFID protected) for credit cards would be nice.
