This is the 3rd Pacsafe item that I own. I have the Pacsafe 85 mesh backpack bag and a smaller backpack liner which is similar to the C35L but much smaller. I use them primarily to store camera equipment in my car when I go into stores or restaurants on a trip. I also use them in hotel rooms. They won't stop a professional thief but will deter hotel personnel and sneak thieves who want to make a quick entrance and exit. Now to this unit specifically. It is big enough for a large camera bag, kindles and various other electronics and stores in a small bag. The storage bag is rather small and needs a Houdini to stuff the unit into it. I highly recommend this item and can't say enough for Zappos great website and super fast delivery.
Brands I'd also recommend: There are no other comparible products.

Although I haven't used it yet, it was shown to me while on vacation. On a cruise, we ported in Aruba, and we all (6 in my family) went to the beach. I had my Nikon D300 and my daughter had her Nikon D60. My wife and other children had their i phones. Anyway, at one point we all wound up in the water, so I quickly turned towards our to make sure nothing was touched. Anyway, when I got to our spot, the gentleman in front of us walked up to me and showed me his pac safe with his Nikon and walet and other belongings. He had it wrapped around the tree. I was sold after that. Of course anyone can walk up and use a cable cutter, but I think that most petty thieves are looking for the easy score and will just walk away once they realize this is cable locked. I can see myself using it at Jazzfest, where I go every year, as well as other outings; camping, kayaking, and hiking. The guy who showed me his replaced the keyed lock with a combination lock, so he doesn't even have to worry about a key- good idea, but I still have the keyed lock it came with.
