Gear bag for commuters - I use this to haul my daily stash including soda, sandwich, banana, camera w/cables, Treo 650 with charger/music headset/phone headset, leather card holder, notepad, moist wipes, Tide2Go, mechanical pencil, Swiss Army knife, keys, magazine, umbrella (in side pocket), usb data storage, usb Bluetooth, and chapstick. There's room for more (the laptop pouch is empty). It is comfortable, attractive, and secure. Came the next day. I also tried the 200, but I carry too much.

Metrosafe 300 - I love this bag. But, I had to get a padded strap cover to go over the buckle as that is what rests on my shoulder. And, I wish it was about one in inch bigger in each direction. Then it would really be the perfect bag. Laptop, camera, sweater are a bit of a tight squeeze. Elastic on the water pockets would improve their function greatly.

Excellent secure option - As are all Pacsafe products, this unit has many thoughtful innovations that result in a functional, secure option for day-to-day or vacation travel. The only thing that would have been nice was for the padded insert to be removable.

Awesome Bag! I got this bag for my recent trip to Italy, 12 days in Venice, Florence & Rome. I never felt safer carrying my money, passport and cameras around a foreign place than I did with this bag. The combination lock in addition to the other safety features allow you to enjoy your yourself without the worry of a pick pocket getting your stuff. This bag is perfectly sized and the strap is long enough to wear slung across your body for hands free street hiking. Bravo Pacsafe!

Amazing!! I bought this bag for a day pack during a multi-month long trip through Europe. I needed it to hold a large DSLR camera, and several other electronics. This bag was not only big enough to easily hold everything I needed, but crafted exceptionally well. Everything from the zippers to the padding was sturdy and sleek looking. I was incredibly impressed with the look and comfort of the bag. The security features are not cheap tacky extras, but strong and they definitely give a sense of security. If you are looking for a walking tank then this is the bag for you. Not too heavy, not bulky, just right. I am very happy with my purchase, and that was hard to do with spending so much for a bag.

This bag functions as purse & carryon. High quality, many pockets - some large, some smaller. It is secure, not too big, and not too heavy. Wears well across the body. Probably won't use the combination lock, but it is not in the way or too conspicuous.

THE perfect travel bag! I bought this bag for a 2-week trip to Italy and absolutely loved it. It held 2 cameras, my makeup bag, wallet, 2 water bottles, and lots of odds & ends. You'd be amazed at how much it holds. Felt perfectly safe because of the construction. Also, it has several safe compartments to hold your passport and other valuables. Plus, it looks great! This was a great buy.

Terrific bag for travelers! Heading to Europe for two months and I have ordered and returned a boatload of expensive and not so expensive bags - this one will travel with me! I will travel with a notebook and an SLR with medium size lens, plus iPod and Blackberry, etc., and this bag accommodates them superbly. Weight distributes nicely across the body and shoulder, stylish for a functional bag, and all the safety travel features one would expect from a Pacsafe product. I am delighted I found this bag!

I took this bag with me to Italy last week and it worked out really well for me. I used it to carry a large DSL camera as well as a small purse. It was a little heavier than I wanted for a bag, but worked out well as a backpack. I felt totally safe carry it with me everywhere and didn't have any issues with pickpocketing, secured my possessions well. I really like all of the safety features of the bag.

I purchased the bag for my trip to Beijing and it served me well as my wife and I suspect some would be thieves tried to make entry on the subway, but the locking mechanism across the zippers prevented this from happening. If you're familiar the zippers can be positively locked with a combination lock and wire. According to her they are good enough to grab your wallet, etc. using thin wires with hooks i.e., without your knowledge. My main concern with the bag was going through the x-ray machines especially in China, but the wire mesh didn't trigger anyone's concern at any time. For travel I used both the shoulder strap and the backpack straps and both served me well. The bag does feel heavy, but not overly so and the protection is well worth the piece of mind. Its about the size of a laptop bag and blends in well with what most men actually carry in China.

Attractive in the brown color and just the right size--almost like a large handbag, but not too big like a backpack, so that it was very handy for day trips while we were traveling and didn't seem too big to bring into a restaurant, for example. I could carry it on my shoulder or cross body or even shorten the straps and carrying it like a purse--very convenient. I removed the padded section in the inside that's meant to protect a computer because I didn't get it to carry a computer and the pad just took up space unnecessarily, which gave me room to stuff a raincoat as well as a hat and a book inside. The two inside pockets that closed with velcro were nice for keeping smaller stuff separate from the main cavity. I liked the variety of pockets in the area under the flap, and I was happy that that area could be securely zippered shut so nothing could fall out, no matter how the bag got tumbled around. My one complaint is that the flap is attached on both sides with velcro so that every time I want to get to one of the many things stashed in the handy pockets under it, it makes two loud ripping noises--which can be really annoying in an enclosed space like a restaurant or theater. Now that I'm back home, I'll try to remove most of the velcro and then it'll be the perfect day travel bag.

If you carry books and notebooks (the old-fashioned paper kind), this is a great bag. I love the security details. I have the MetroSafe 200, but it's just not big enough to carry books and notebooks.

I purchased this bag to use as a purse because backpacks are my preferred style of everyday carry-all (and I carry lots of stuff). The style is sleek, elegant, and professional - not a lot of unnecessary loops and do-dads hanging off of it to make it look too busy. The security features are awesome! I'm not sure if the slash-guard front panel is all that necessary, but the slash-proof strap with built-in lock is fantastic (I work in a place that has a problem with theft and had been using TSA-approved luggage locks to secure my previous purse's compartments). Not only does the built-in lock secure the bag's main compartment, but you can also use the strap to fasten the entire bag to a stationary object so it stays put - perfect for weddings, buffets, bars, airports, subways, etc. Genius. The MP3 player pouch with the earphone port and tamper-proof zippers are clever and convenient. Though the interior lining is quality nylon, it's not nearly as thick and sturdy as the nylon lining of my Roxy backpack. I feel as though it's only a matter of time before those seams start coming apart. The hidden backpack straps were what excited me the most, yet they turned out to be the biggest disappointment. They're nothing more than nylon straps, which means not only are they not slashproof, but they are dreadfully uncomfortable - no padding to keep them from digging into your armpits. And the top part of the straps is connected to the bag with nothing more than a little loop sewn into the seam of the lining, absolutely guaranteed to tear with constant or repeated use under the weight of the bag and its contents. No bueno. As I stated earlier, I didn't purchase this bag to use with a laptop, so I cannot comment on its performance in that area. Overall it's a neat bag, but the backpack straps are a deal-breaker for me, at least for the time being... but not so much so that I feel compelled to return the bag. I am now test-driving a Targus convertible messenger/backpack (TSB110US). The comfy, padded backpack straps are firmly fastened to the bag, exactly the way they should be. So far, so good.

I'm.a gadget nut so I own both an iPad and a Kindle (the bigger one). On trips I take both. This bag is excellent for that. I can carry boy with ease or for that matter a net book with all my other personal items, like an iPod, cellphone, etc. to be secure. This is a very light bag with lots of security features. I love it.

This bag is perfect. I am in Paris and on the Metro all the time. A pick pocket almost got my husband's wallet from his pocket this week I feel totally secure having my important belongings in my PacSafe bag. Its numerous compartments, as well as the ability to switch to being a back pack is wonderful. Excellent product.

I used this as a travel bag for 23 days in Russia and England. It worked great as a day pack and there was plenty of room for a change of clothes for one night. It looked great also not like a normal back pack but sleek and contemporary. The bag is nicely padded and I felt secure carrying my 35 mm camera inside. I liked its numerous pockets so it was easy to organize things inside where I felt safe keeping my passports and money. It was great to switch between shoulder and backpack and the straps were quite comfortable. I have two suggestions however. 1. put an easy access pocket on the front for maps, I ended up using a side pocket which crumpled the map. 2. put a pocket on the back side (at your back) for things that need to be kept really secure, and that you don't need to access frequently, like passports. OK, I know its not a travel bag but it worked great as one.
