I use this mainly for steaming veggies and it works fine. It is on the smallish side but it works fine for me.

This is the best kitchen tool that I own. It is perfect for washing fruit and draining beans and I gave one to my friend that is single and cooks one portion pasta. Just the right size and stores flat. Perfect!
