I liked the fact that the grounds come out of the pot and continue to enjoy that for cleaning, but I've not owned for more than 6 months and the plunger broke.

I purchased this press, loving OXO products. While the carafe is sturdy, the plunger is a fine metal mesh surrounded by a PLASTIC ring. After two uses and washes, it warped and was unusable. Other presses generally have a metal plunger, which then resists warping.
