This is the perfect tool for making egg salad. You chop the egg in one direction then pull the little lever down and chop it in the other direction without moving the egg. Very fast and sturdy.

It slices and cuts eggs just fine. However, it is very difficult to clean as the egg slices get caught in the plastic slots. You need a toothpick or thin wire to clean it out. Very tedious.
