The description on the tag on the bag is "You might own another bag but your Overland Equipment bag is the one you use" aptly describes the Aurora. While I am not sure there is a perfect all-purpose day bag this may be close. Roomy and lightweight, with lots of pockets, it is big enough for my Macbook Pro 13", but doesn't look big or bulky when fully loaded. Thanks Zappos for your terrific lightning fast shipping!

I am a messenger bag woman and just love my overland bag. There are plenty of pockets for my items and although it looks small it holds a lot. Just love it.

This bag is great. Holds a ton of smaller stuff, lots of good compartments and storage. My only gripe is that the inside section isn't quite firm enough to hold folders, papers, magazines upright, unless you have a lot of them in there. So the bag doesn't necessarily sit flat on its bottom when you put it down unless it is jammed with stuff. And when it is jammed with stuff, the top flap doesn't fold over the way it is shown in the picture, it just sticks straight up, which can make it difficult to carry the bag cross-body (plus it kind of looks dumb). But overall, I really like this bag. Overland Equipment makes really good quality bags that last forever.
