These gloves are awesome. Small enough to fold up and put in my coat pocket so they're always on hand, yet warm enough to wear almost all winter for casual use (I live in Chicago). Highly wind resistant. I thought I was crazy for spending this much for a fleece-type glove, but the quality and durability of these gloves, plus the perfect gripping surface, makes them worth it. I am on year three, these gloves look new.

If you are standing still in freezing conditions, this glove will not work but if you are moving they are great. Not much insulation but block the wind great. I use them with a smartwool liner glove while winter hiking. I can adjust my pack, snowshoes, put on my crampons, and drive home with them on. Without glove liners I can feel the seams. I own the mediums and they fit well inside my medium OR over-mitts.

Pretty decent fit. Not snug, and you could could probably even fit a liner under it. Kept my hands warm while shoveling, but might not be enough for idle activities such as watching a football game and just standing there in cold weather below 40 degrees. This said, it's not meant to be that warm, so it does it's job.
