Outdoor Kids Reviews

  • Keen Kids by Chandler CNX (Toddler/Little Kid) Overall Rated: 3 stars! Comfort Rated: 5 stars! Look Rated: 5 stars! Oct 19, 2014 Anonymous from Wichita, KS

Great fitting shoe with arch support. These are easy to put on and take off. The only problem is the pull tab eventually wears out the shoe lace. Since you can't replace the shoelace, the shoes become useless.

  • The North Face Kids by Reversible Mossbud Swirl Jacket (Toddler) Overall Rated: 5 stars! Comfort Rated: 5 stars! Look Rated: 5 stars! Oct 19, 2014 Anonymous from Hadley, MA

Awesome coat for my 3 1/2 year old! The lining is so warm and cozy - will be great for going to and from preschool in the winter and for playing outside. Looks adorable on her too!

  • Hatley Kids by Rain Boots (Toddler/Little Kid) Overall Rated: 5 stars! Comfort Rated: 5 stars! Look Rated: 5 stars! Oct 19, 2014 Anonymous

I have 3 very active little girls ages 2, 3, and 4. We have had our boots for just about a year now and I am happy to report that they have held up VERY well to a thorough wearing in rain, snow, and sun, through cities, farms, backyards and neighborhoods. The girls love how easy these are to put on and off, how fun the designs are and how long they fit your feet since they are sized larger. These, and our crocs, have been our go-to shoes for just about everything except dress-up events. The heels are worn down a bit but there is still tread on the bottoms so I feel comfortable passing these down to the next girl--a must with multiple kids. I was actually surprised at how, after a year, the heels weren't worn down more given how often these boots are worn. Ordering another pair today!

  • Kamik Kids by Stomp (Toddler/Little Kid/Big Kid) Overall Rated: 5 stars! Comfort Rated: 5 stars! Look Rated: 5 stars! Oct 19, 2014 Fiona Lennard from Seattle, WA

These were exactly what we expected. Fit perfectly and are well made. My son loves his new boots.

  • Teva Kids by Charge WP Update (Toddler/Little Kid/Big Kid) Overall Rated: 5 stars! Comfort Rated: 5 stars! Look Rated: 5 stars! Oct 19, 2014 Anonymous from Portland, Oregon

These are great shoes for rainy day hikes in Portland, Oregon. In fact, this is the second time that I have purchased these shoes for my daughter. The first pair held up so incredibly well - they look practically new! Do be warned when purchasing to try a couple different sizes. This go round I ended buying half a size larger than usual.

  • The North Face Kids by Denali Jacket (Little Kids/Big Kids) Overall Rated: 5 stars! Comfort Rated: 5 stars! Look Rated: 5 stars! Oct 18, 2014 Min Park from Chicago, IL

Ordered this jacket for my preschooler since she spends a lot of time outdoors for her school. Very durable and warm for chilly autumn mornings! The photo is true to color.

About Outdoor Kids

Daddy drove for a long time. We went up mountains and through hills. My mom pointed out all the important things to look at, like the horses and the ducks. But when we finally got to our camping site, I couldn't wait to jump out of the car!

I was prepared for all the mud and puddles in my new KeenKids boots. I feel like I have total control over my feet! I can't wait for our hike, but first we have to set up camp. I love everything about camping. We have great sleeping bags from The North Face® that we can snuggle under, and the scariest ghost story around the campfire won't keep me awake. I even have some fun pajamas from Life Is Good® to wear on our first night.

Next year, I'll be going to summer camp all by myself! I can't wait to meet other kids my age and go on hikes with them and make s'mores at night. I'm getting some good practice this year with my family vacation, and I've already broken in my Merrell Kids® hiking shoes. Over the winter, our parents took us out in the snow. I had a lot of fun learning how to ski, but even more fun learning how to snowboard! My little brother went sledding and started a few snowball fights. We both really love the warm clothes Mom bought us from Obermeyer Kids®. Now we can really tackle that mountain!

We don't always stick to the snow. On this trip, we're having so much fun discovering all the trees, the little critters and even each other. I never knew my dad was scared of spiders. But he is! He saw one on my backpack while we were on the trail and he totally freaked out. It was pretty funny. It was a good thing I was wearing a cool Patagonia® Kids beanie. I wouldn't want a spider in my hair! No insects were harmed, by the way. Dad is an eco-friendly kind of guy, and he just brushed him off into the woods.

We walked for a long time. I'm glad Mom had my little brother in his Baby Jogger™. She says it's really durable and safe on all the trails. He just sits back all nice and cozy, but his feet sure do look cute in his Teva® Kids sandals. We also packed some Columbia® Kids rain boots, just in case. If the weather does turn cold, I'll have all the protection I need because I've also brought my jacket and a warm top. I am so ready for this vacation!

Sometimes I think that vacations are even better than recess. You can't go fishing at recess, for example. But with my new water friendly Sorel® Kids boots, I can hit the lake front and bring some dinner back to camp!

I hope you liked my story. And I hope your family goes on an amazing vacation this year, too!
