My six year old typically wears shoes out but these sandals have been going strong for the start of a second summer.

These shoes are great for my 6-year old son. They hold up really well during active summers - they are water-resistant, have a good grip, and they are washable. The only downside is that they get pretty smelly after a couple of weeks (which is why it's great that they are so washable).

We almost returned these because there is a fold of fabric in the upper toe box that might rub. It was on both shoes and is likely a design flaw. However, my daughter thought these were so fun that she wore them anyway and so we are keeping them. There is not a lot of arch support but they are much lighter than traditional bogs. They also don't rise as high and are good for only shallow puddles or wet streets.

This is the third pair of Keen Kids Gypsum shoes I get for my son and he loves them. The shoes look good for casual wear and excellent for school use. The most important factor for him likening this shoes is comfort. They are soft flexible and provide plenty of room for his feet without discomfort. The shoes are durable and are resistant to the use from a young active child.

Smaller than last year! My daughter wore these in a 3 last year, and they were great. Bought the same in a 4 this year, as the 3's were just a smidge too small. However, this year's 4's are maybe at most 1/4" bigger than the old 3's. No room to grow at all. I bought Tevas for my son and me as well, and they ran similarly small. Looks like Teva decided to resize everything. Boo!

My four year old son wears a 12 in Stride Rite shoes with plenty of toe room and so I ordered a 13 Teva and his toes are all the way at the end of the sandal. He loves the style and the color and so I will be ordering a size one in hopes it fits better.

Daddy drove for a long time. We went up mountains and through hills. My mom pointed out all the important things to look at, like the horses and the ducks. But when we finally got to our camping site, I couldn't wait to jump out of the car!
I was prepared for all the mud and puddles in my new Keen™ Kids boots. I feel like I have total control over my feet! I can't wait for our hike, but first we have to set up camp. I love everything about camping. We have great sleeping bags from The North Face® that we can snuggle under, and the scariest ghost story around the campfire won't keep me awake. I even have some fun pajamas from Life Is Good® to wear on our first night.
Next year, I'll be going to summer camp all by myself! I can't wait to meet other kids my age and go on hikes with them and make s'mores at night. I'm getting some good practice this year with my family vacation, and I've already broken in my Merrell Kids® hiking shoes. Over the winter, our parents took us out in the snow. I had a lot of fun learning how to ski, but even more fun learning how to snowboard! My little brother went sledding and started a few snowball fights. We both really love the warm clothes Mom bought us from Obermeyer Kids®. Now we can really tackle that mountain!
We don't always stick to the snow. On this trip, we're having so much fun discovering all the trees, the little critters and even each other. I never knew my dad was scared of spiders. But he is! He saw one on my backpack while we were on the trail and he totally freaked out. It was pretty funny. It was a good thing I was wearing a cool Patagonia® Kids beanie. I wouldn't want a spider in my hair! No insects were harmed, by the way. Dad is an eco-friendly kind of guy, and he just brushed him off into the woods.
We walked for a long time. I'm glad Mom had my little brother in his Baby Jogger™. She says it's really durable and safe on all the trails. He just sits back all nice and cozy, but his feet sure do look cute in his Teva® Kids sandals. We also packed some Columbia® Kids rain boots, just in case. If the weather does turn cold, I'll have all the protection I need because I've also brought my jacket and a warm top. I am so ready for this vacation!
Sometimes I think that vacations are even better than recess. You can't go fishing at recess, for example. But with my new water friendly Sorel® Kids boots, I can hit the lake front and bring some dinner back to camp!
I hope you liked my story. And I hope your family goes on an amazing vacation this year, too!
