Outdoor Kids Reviews

  • Tundra Boots Kids by Snowstoppers Gloves Overall Rated: 5 stars! Comfort Rated: 5 stars! Look Rated: 5 stars! Mar 25, 2015 Anonymous

A little larger than the rep said for sizing my kids but they wear them anyway and the long sleeve on it seems to do a great job of keeping them warm and keeping the snow out. I would recommend!

  • The North Face Kids by Equity (Toddler/Little Kid) Overall Rated: 5 stars! Comfort Rated: 5 stars! Look Rated: 5 stars! Mar 25, 2015 Anonymous from New Haven, CT

Great shoes. Fit great. Look great. My 6 year old is going to get a lot of use out of them this summer. Perfect for outdoor expeditions. Very happy with the purchase

  • Columbia Kids by Powderbug™ Forty Print (Toddler/Little Kid/Big Kid) Overall Rated: 5 stars! Comfort Rated: 5 stars! Look Rated: 5 stars! Mar 25, 2015 Anonymous from New York

My daughter loves these boots. They're strong enough to hold up to tough play in the snow and rain. She also likes the way they are gender neutral, as she can't stand how the girls shoes are always so "girly" - when really they aren't girly at all, but silly, as she sees it.

  • Columbia Kids by Flashback™ Windbreaker (Little Kids/Big Kids) Overall Rated: 5 stars! Comfort Rated: 5 stars! Look Rated: 5 stars! Mar 25, 2015 Anonymous

This is a lightweight spring windbreaker. My daughter loves it because it is soft and comfortable and perfect for the days where there is still a chill in the air in the morning.

  • Kamik Kids by Starlet Jacket (Toddler/Little Kids/Big Kids) Overall Rated: 5 stars! Comfort Rated: 5 stars! Look Rated: 5 stars! Mar 25, 2015 Emmanuela Pierre from Brooklyn, NY

Love this jacket and so does my daughter. Only had it for about a month and it kept my daughter warm through this brutal winter in NYC.

  • The North Face Kids by Storm Waterproof (Toddler/Little Kid/Big Kid) Overall Rated: 5 stars! Comfort Rated: 5 stars! Look Rated: 5 stars! Mar 25, 2015 Lesley Klym from FLORIDA

I BOUGHT THESE BOOTS FOR MY 6 YEAR OLD GRANDSON. HE LOVES THEM AND PREFERS THEM TO REGULAR SHOES. HE HAS A FAIRLY WIDE FOOT AND THESE FIT FINE. THE ONLY CON IS THAT THEY ARE MORE DIFFICULT FOR HIM TO TIE THAN HIS NORMAL SHOES BUT HE LIKES THEM ENOUGH THAT HE IS WILLING TO SPEND THE EXTRA TIME!

About Outdoor Kids

Daddy drove for a long time. We went up mountains and through hills. My mom pointed out all the important things to look at, like the horses and the ducks. But when we finally got to our camping site, I couldn't wait to jump out of the car!

I was prepared for all the mud and puddles in my new KeenKids boots. I feel like I have total control over my feet! I can't wait for our hike, but first we have to set up camp. I love everything about camping. We have great sleeping bags from The North Face® that we can snuggle under, and the scariest ghost story around the campfire won't keep me awake. I even have some fun pajamas from Life Is Good® to wear on our first night.

Next year, I'll be going to summer camp all by myself! I can't wait to meet other kids my age and go on hikes with them and make s'mores at night. I'm getting some good practice this year with my family vacation, and I've already broken in my Merrell Kids® hiking shoes. Over the winter, our parents took us out in the snow. I had a lot of fun learning how to ski, but even more fun learning how to snowboard! My little brother went sledding and started a few snowball fights. We both really love the warm clothes Mom bought us from Obermeyer Kids®. Now we can really tackle that mountain!

We don't always stick to the snow. On this trip, we're having so much fun discovering all the trees, the little critters and even each other. I never knew my dad was scared of spiders. But he is! He saw one on my backpack while we were on the trail and he totally freaked out. It was pretty funny. It was a good thing I was wearing a cool Patagonia® Kids beanie. I wouldn't want a spider in my hair! No insects were harmed, by the way. Dad is an eco-friendly kind of guy, and he just brushed him off into the woods.

We walked for a long time. I'm glad Mom had my little brother in his Baby Jogger™. She says it's really durable and safe on all the trails. He just sits back all nice and cozy, but his feet sure do look cute in his Teva® Kids sandals. We also packed some Columbia® Kids rain boots, just in case. If the weather does turn cold, I'll have all the protection I need because I've also brought my jacket and a warm top. I am so ready for this vacation!

Sometimes I think that vacations are even better than recess. You can't go fishing at recess, for example. But with my new water friendly Sorel® Kids boots, I can hit the lake front and bring some dinner back to camp!

I hope you liked my story. And I hope your family goes on an amazing vacation this year, too!
