I purchased the V7 for skiing. The rigid frame bladder is great and the pack has just enough room for a packable shell, wallet, keys, and a camera. It has froze up once but it was cold and I imagine even an insulated tube would have frozen. I might wear it under my jacket next time that it is really cold The Viper 7 has a low profile and a comfortable fit that stays put. Ospey puts a lot of thought into their designs.
