I never check luggage when flying if I can possibly help it. I got this bag for the cases in which I'm not likely to be able to fit a rollerbag in the overhead bin. I've had it for a year, and it's served its purpose very well. It is light, strong, and roomy.

I love this bag as my one and only bag for traveling around the world. The shoulder strap, when put on the back of the bag, fits quickly and easily over a separate trolley (I use the Kata trolley) giving me wheels. I put a laptop backpack inside here plus everything I need for travel in all climates. So roomy and so lightweight. I highly recommend it.

If you like soft shell carry-ons, I can't recommend this bag enough. The main pocket opening is quite large for packing, with a nice little overhang for retrieval without everything falling out. Handles are comfy and in all the right spots. Zero issues with durability - I've also used Osprey backpacks for years without problems in the nylon. I've got broad shoulders with a lot of muscle and fat, so the strap is no problem for me, but I could see someone wanting a pad. Probably easily remedied. The positioning of it across the bag diagonally really just keeps it in place while walking. Handles are super comfy to hold on to, even when full.

I have not used this bag - yet. I like the choice of sizes and colors. The material and zippers seem top notch - a well made bag. I also have the Osprey back pack. Rugged but looks good.
I'd also recommend: Patagonia, North Face, Columbia, Prana

This bag is amazing! I bought it for my semester abroad, and it's a great bag for on the plane when I travel. It's much roomier than it looks!
