Great pack. Fits books and notebooks well, but binders are almost too wide, so if you plan to use this backpack for school and carry all your books around you should probably get a different backpack. But for traveling it is a great size for a few days worth of clothes and I love it. And if you get orange let it be known that the actual product isn't as bright as it appears in the pictures.
Brands I'd also recommend: Patagonia, Mountain Hardwear

Terrific, wonderful pack. The structure really supports the weight. I liked this pack so much I immediately bought another, slightly smaller Axis model for town use. The only trouble with the Flare is that the 3 outer pockets are mesh, as are some inner pockets. The mesh on on outer pocket tore in the first summer; I don't know whether a mouse nibbled it or what - there was nothing pointed in it when I discovered the tear. I am using the Lifetime Guarantee to send it for repair. I fear this will happen again.
Brands I'd also recommend: recommend Osprey, not necessarily this model

Suspension systems such as the AirScape, AirCore, and AirSpeed make sure to absorb all types of shock while walking and to help you stabilize the load you’re carrying.
Based in Cortez, Colorado, Osprey has over thirty-two years of pack-making experience. This landscape provides all the employees with constant inspiration and a superb testing ground for their packs. However, you’ll find most of the employees, including Osprey founder/head designer Mike Pfotenhauer, in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam. By being close to the production facilities, Osprey has the ability to ensure fair labor standards and face-to-face relationships with the factories that build their packs, as well as experience cultural enlightenment and the design inspiration of a cosmopolitan city.
