It's hard to find non-insulated slip-on slippers that a) don't look like something from Thurston Howell III's closet, or b) aren't Birkenstocks. These are super comfy, seem well-made with a durable sole, and don't look too dorky (just a little but hey, you are wearing slippers after all so get over it). Lots of cushion and high arches, but could stand them being a little firmer. I usually wear a 10.5. Ordered the 11 and they fit perfectly, maybe even a little narrow (which feels comfortably snug to me).

Developed very painful plantar fasciitis and could only wear the Orthaheel Tides (a lifesaver). I needed a closed shoe for work & purchased these hoping they would work as well as the tides-no way. The shoe was a perfect fit, but did not give me the same relief and it was too tight for any kind of added insert, especially at the back heel which kept landing on the open edge of the shoe. I want to know why Orthaheel doesn't build a shoe over the Tides base.

I purchased these for my husband after a painful foot surgery. After he was allowed out of his walking boot, he could not walk barefooted at all and these were great. Wonderful arch support, but it just didn't hit in the right spot, so I removed the orthotic and put his in there, so they were even better. Now he loves them! Easier than putting on your shoes every time you want to get up. Says they are warm and sometimes goes out in these!Traditional slippers just don't have any support!

My husband has arthritis in his feet, he is in his mid-50s. I bought these for him as he can not go barefoot in the house anymore. He loves these shoes. He thanks me everyday for them. He is pain free when he has these on.

My husband was having trouble with foot pain from going either barefoot or by wearing the flat slippers he's always had. I can tell he likes them, even though he doesn't say much about them because he puts them on as soon as he gets home AND, as soon as he gets up in the morning. I didn't think he would like the orthaheel slipper, which is why I gave these a try. Thanks Zappos, as always making my shopping so easy and not having to worry about being charged for shipping when having to return something that doesn't work out.
I'd also recommend: Birkenstock
