About Original Penguin
In 1955, Minneapolis-based Munsingwear, an underwear and military supply company, ironically became the touchstone of suburban sport with the introduction of the first iconic golf shirt to America, an ORIGINAL PENGUIN®. The now famous ORIGINAL PENGUIN logo has an interesting story behind it.
As history tells us, one of Munsingwear's salesmen spotted a flock of penguins in the window of a New York taxidermist and, on what seems like a lark, bought one of the stuffed birds. And before long, "Pete" the penguin became the official mascot and logo of golf shirts. Its first shirt, the 1955, was an instant golf classic, first to feature an "action gusset," a ribbed slice of fabric on the underarm to avoid rips during even the most enthusiastic golf swing.

Inexplicably sized wrong. Go one size up. My boyfriend is tall and thin, always a L, and the L was almost too tight to wear, it would never have survived the washing machine, so I bought the XL and it was perfect. I just gave it four stars so people would look at the review and see that the sizing was off.
My 17 year old son loves these shorts. Very handsome fit for a slim, tall athlete. Definitely reminiscent of Nantucket Island and Cape Cod!

Love these shoes. I liked the way it looked on the picture, and when it arrived the color is slightly greener looking. These shoes fit well, and feel well made.The only complaint I have with them is the lace on the back part of the shoe.
Good fit and very comfortable material. They are very soft, unlike traditional swimming trunks.
These shorts are sporty and comfortable, but several of the seams have begun to rip after only a couple of light-duty wearings. I haven't had that problem with other Original Penguin trunks, but the construction quality of these is subpar.
The above reviewers are spot on when they say order a size up. My husband is athletic built 5'11", 180 pounds and I had to send back the XL. Thankfully they have the 2XL. Amazing quality, great looking polo.
Buyer beware. This item runs small. Let me repeat. This item runs small. Save yourself the trouble, and order two sizes up. I am not joking. I usually wear a large, and had to return the item for an XXL. Style is okay but not as good as I expected. The shirt seems a bit thin. Yes, that is the style of the shirt, but I didn't like it as much as I thought I would.
Runs really small but the shirt is as pictured. I usually wear a L or XL but this XL fits more like a small. I would order two sizes up.

I'm 5'11" 160 lbs. I ordered a Large. It fits very well out of the box, but if it shrunk at all, it will be too small. Definitely order up at least 1 size unless you want an extremely tight fit. This shirt is thin material: t-shirt thickness.
This was the best suit that I have ever had it is great. If you are thinking the price is too much you are wrong, this suit is great.
Love this suit. I ordered this for our honeymoon, and my wife loved it. Fits great, and the fabric is just heavy enough. Washed it once, and no sign of fading. This is perfect for the summer to come out on the boat.
It is a very nice shirt. I thought it was black because of the eclipse name but it is more of a gray blue and looks a little faded.
I got these for my husband who wanted swim trunks but not ones that would go to his knees. He loves them! They fall above his knee caps about 2 inches and they fit perfectly. The fabric and construction are good quality. They even have a pocket with a zipper - which made my husband particularly happy.
I have a few pairs of board shorts, but liked these because of the design. Base color is a gray stripe, and the neon blue makes it pop. Great pair of stylish board shorts. They run true to size and almost feel like a slim fit, but not to the point of being uncomfortable.
I bought this in a size large for my son who is 6', fit and quite lean. It was way, way too small! We then ordered an XL, still too small. Ordered it again in a 2X!! It did fit but could not believe how off the sizing is in this shirt. it's a great shirt but just be forewarned about the sizing. I also have to say Zappos' customer service is the best!
Shoes fit great. Most important to me is knowing the great customer service that Zappos offers. They make it a pleasure to shop online as they are always willing to help if something is not right.
I love these shirts. They are very soft. They are my absolute favorite to wear. They are so comfortable. The quality is great.
