I bought these shoes primarily for bike riding because the soles are thin, but still comfortable and the front of the shoe has breathable mesh to keep your feet cool. Size-wise they definitely run bigger length-wise than your average athletic shoe, so I'd recommend ordering a half size smaller than what you're used to.

I am a hardcore Asics Onitsuka fan. I bought my first pair probably in 2004, and I've owned 5-6 pairs. This is the first pair I've ordered that did not fit. I think Asics started making this specific style of shoe in a different way. I want to say that the shoes used to be mainly made from suede. I'm sort of shocked that everyone said the shoes fit true to size. I've never had issues with Asics (either running styles or Onitsuka) fitting before, but I guess these are not the older suede versions. I say they fit differently. I am re-ordering them a whole size down. It seems very strange. I do agree that they're very nice and stylish- and on the compliment getting.

Very light and comfortable. I have little to no arch on my foot and they fit perfectly. They are also wide incredibly wide for a retro-style shoe. I have two pairs of ultimate 81's and this pair fits exactly the same. The castlerock/white shoe's blue is darker in real life than in the picture. These shoes are still sweet though. Zappos customer service can't be any better. Overall experience is a 10/10.

Love them... I love this shoe! I have three other "styles" of this shoe! People always compliment them. They fit great. They actually make your foot appear smaller.

Shoe Size: Felt a half size smaller than marked Shoe Arch: Excellent arch support Shoe Width: Felt true to widthStellar!! I really love these shoes! I was a little hesitant with this brand as they don't look like they have much cushion. I need lots as I have screws in my ankles. But uncomfortably they are not! I love em so much I'm always wearing them even if I'm at home and don't have to!

I got these for husband. He has barely taken them off since they arrived! They look really cool and are extremely lightweight and comfortable. They come with green laces for a more modern look and white laces for a more retro look.
