The extra big-toe space felt a little uncomfortable at first, but once I wore them outside, and especially once it gets wet, the toe-deal feels just fine. The shoes fit great: not too tight, not loose. I use them for coaching sailing from a rigid inflatable boat (Zodiac) where they get splashed a lot. It\'s also nice to feel the ground (rocks and all) when you\'re running or walking, though that takes a little getting used to. It\'s not uncomfortable, though if walking over rip-rap with them would be a bit harrowing.

I read that these run large and you should order a half size down form normal. I wear an 8.5 so I ordered the 8. Too small and too tight. I ordered the 9 and hope that fits better. Otherwise, I love the feel and the sole seems like it will be great for walking on sandy, rocky paths.

Bought these shoes because I needed to do some pool workouts as I am recovering from a knee injury. I wanted to make sure that I did not slip on the bottom of the pool. These shoes have been great for those workouts. They are no my all purpose water shoes and I plan on spending a bunch of time in them this summer.

I purchased this shoe to wear in the water when getting on and off my boat. I am very pleased with the comfort and feel like I am not wearing a shoe at all.

I've tried a lot of booties for windsurfing, and I've found these which I love. I'm on my fifth pair, and I'll buy more when these wear out. Great compromise on all-around protection, but form-fitting to slide in/out of footstraps easily (no getting wedged). Some people object to split toe, or take time to get used to it, but it's really important to keep shoe from rolling on your toes when you side-step. I have a 9 foot and wear an 8 shoe. I'll buy more when these wear out (which they eventually do).

These are exactly what I was looking for. Nice snug fit, tight around the ankle so no sand gets in, and well gripped.

I wear 8.5 and following description/suggestion on the sizes I ordered size 8 which were small and tight on my feet. I returned these and ordered size 9 which seem a nice fit. They're a little spacious on the toes but much nicer fit than 8 were which would have ached my feet if I were to wear them for extended period of time. I needed water shoes to wear on the shorelines of the beach and because of my fear of crab bites. They seem stylish and nicely designed. I cannot comment on durability though.

These are the best water shoes I have ever used. Like being barefoot but with protection. My second toe is longer than my big toe, and I found it necessary to go up a half size. Zappos return policy made it possible to try the different sizes and get the right fit.

The O'Neil SuperFreak boots are very comfortable and seem to be wearing well. A lot of web-based comments suggested that these boots ran big and suggested that you order a size down. I found the sizing to be accurate as labeled.

I wear an 11 1/2 shoe, so I took the advice from the Zappos description and ordered a half size smaller. They turned out to be way too small. I sent them back and ordered a 12, which fit just fine. Other than the sizing issue, the quality of the boot is very nice.

Very happy with this purchase. I wear a Women's 11 so I ordered the Men's 10 and they fit just fine. Since I have a crooked toe, the shoe's toe separation actually helps me keep my balance while doing water exercises.

These are great. Exactly as advertised. Well made. Shipped quickly. With split toe shoes like this, fitting can be trickier than with other shoes. For me, my big toe is a bit tight while my other toes are loose in the shoe. If you haven't tried split toe shoes, you may want to go somewhere to try some on before ordering.
