Just got these from Zappos today, and I am so bummed they have to go back! The good folks at OluKai have clearly forgotten that toddlers have fat little feet. The length would have been perfect if my son didn't have baby chub. If you have a child with slender feet and think that these would work, they are really well-made, nice-looking basic boys' sandals. Please note that I did not say that they are narrower than marked because width is not the issue. Instep was the issue.
Brands I'd also recommend: Petit, Kickers, Aster

I've had a set of these for years and have pretty much lived in them during the summer and they still look great. Based off this experience I thought I sling a pair for my 9 year old boy for the summer and needless to say he loves them just as much.

Love the Olukai Flip Flops. Even though they are boy sized, I bought them for myself; I'm a woman with small feet. I have a higher arch and wear a 5 1/2 so most sandals/flips either don't come small enough or if they are the right length, they don't fit my over my high arch. These fit great, are comfortable and are higher quality just like the adult sizes (most kid sandals/flips are made very cheaply) - worth the price if you can afford them in adult sizes, but as the kids sizes are less expensive - it's Win Win!

I actually work for a well known comfort shoe company, so I am very particular about what I put on our son's feet. These flip flops are the best on the market for cushion, support, and flexibility. I don't feel guilty about our son wearing them all day, because they are better for his feet than most other shoes. It should be more clear which sizes come with the little back strap and which don't, but I figured it out.
