I ordered the Kama'aina Twill shoes based on my previous positive experience with OluKai's flip flops as well as the gear review written on the Kama'aina shoes in Outside Magazine. I ordered my standard size (10) but found the shoe to "fit" large based on the elastic stretches located near the heel cup and the tarsal, so I utilized Zappos' free return policy and ordered the 9.5s which fit perfectly. The shoe is very comfortable but due to the leather lining, I recommend a light coating of foot powder if you're going sockless in a hot environment - otherwise it makes funny suction cup sounds when you walk!

I really, really like these shoes. Granted, not every day with them was perfect; the first two days were incredibly painful, but once I broke them in, they were like a dream. I've had them a few months now, and there are no visible signs of wear yet, not even on the soles. The durability, especially for slip-ons, is outstanding. The arch is nice, I'd say just right. Traction is OK; I bought them for wearing around town, and that is never a problem. The final thing? They look less cool in their picture than when you are actually wearing them. They are pretty darn snazzy, and knowing they were hand-stitched in Hawaii makes you feel even better. So buy some, and make sure they are pretty tight, even difficult to put on, at first. They'll loosen up just a tad.

Zappos is the place to shop for shoes! I purchased several pairs of shoes from them and had to return one pair with no hassles whatsoever (no fault on their part, I just decided on a different style). There was no added cost to me for doing so as they paid for postage. This company truly deserves a AAA rating. Nice work on providing an experience and concept with true customer service in mind!
Brands I'd also recommend: Anything from Zappos! They have any style you desire!

I got these shoes for my husband, and he loves them. They're super comfy and super cool! They look great with old jeans and a white T for a casual look with a masculine touch of fashion flare.

I really like this shoe - very comfortable and great style. But it runs a bit wide for me. I normally wear a standard "D" width with every other shoe & sneaker I've ever owned, so I don't know what's going on here. I'm wearing thick socks and my feet are swimming in there, and my heel almost slips out with every step! I like them so much, but I'll have to return them. Pity.
