Very comfortable -- I wasn't expecting it to be so soft. Olukai really makes quality sandals that last -- I've had their Hiapo leather sandals for the past 2 years, as well -- which are also great. However, the Hiapo is not water-friendly, which is why I got this pair. I admit I was a bit thrown off by the price (which is super high for a flipflop) -- and lack of reviews -- but after wearing them for awhile I think the premium was worth it. So, if you are looking for a sturdy flip-flop, that can be worn all day without discomfort (likely do to the arch-support and pillow-like sole); and that that is water-friendly I think the Hokua is a great alternative to the much cheaper competitors that tend to fall apart with use.

These are awesome and absolutely pillow top soft foot bed, by far the best and I thought the Kekai model was soft. Purchase a pair.
I'd also recommend: Olu Kai only

Whoa! This price on flip flops! Yup, that's exactly what I said when I clicked on these. I could not justify paying almost the same on flip flops than I do almost on sneakers, until my wife who had live in Hawaii for over 10 years said that she had a pair way back when and they were great. Reluctantly I decided to give them a try, I mean what could be worse, Zappos has a great return policy. They arrived quickly as most things do from Zappos and my first look at the was surprising, nice stitching, quality leather and a spongy to the touch foot bed. First impressions walking around the house in them, they do seem about half a size smaller than I wear, I wear a 10 and I think the 11 would give me a little more room for my heel at the back. They were a little tight at first but after a few times wearing them they loosened up nicely. The foot bed is the most amazing thing about the whole thing, spongy and soft yet very supportive on the arch, the first time I wore these out of the house I spent 4 hours walking around doing my everyday chores with no problem at all. This is a lot to pay for flip flops but I believe that you get what you pay for and I think these will last.

I love my Olukai's, all of them! My new Hokua are my favorite to date. Compared to the O'hana the sizing is the same, but the Hokua are so much softer with more arch support. You can't go wrong with Olukai either way. Try the Kai Trainer also if you want a plush supportive shoe.

I have plantar fasciitis and these give me total relief. I wear them all the time and couldn't be happier. Before wearing them, I thought the price was outrageous, but after three months of daily wear I think they're a bargain.
