OluKai Reviews
I was looking for a shoe that I could wear out in the evenings and wear to the office. The Moloa is perfect for this. The fold down heel turned out to be more useful than I had expected. So far I have no complaints. The Moloa's build quality is high and I would definitely buy another shoe from OluKai.
I tried these based on the glowing reviews but they did not fit me very well, they felt too narrow and they did not have as much arch support as hoped (or as the Orthaheel sandals do). The strap hits at the widest part of your foot, so if you have a wide foot, beware.
The very best pair of sandals I have ever owned. I bought them on vacation and don't want to put regular shoes back on.
I love these sandals! I had been shopping a really of pair for a few weeks then came across these which had great reviews. I was worried that they would be a little heavier than I would have liked but I was completely wrong, these sandals are really lightweight and comfortable. As everyone says, the arch support is like no other sandal. You couldn't go wrong with these. I plan to order in black soon!
Super comfortable shoe. From the moment I put them on I felt like these had been my shoes for a while. Good support for a simple shoe. I really like them. Can't say how they wear over time so I may have to get another pair for next summer.
With so many positive reviews with Olukai Ohana and this flip the Hokua I decided spend the extra money. I liked the style and quality of the flip-flops, but after putting them on I was not that impressed. They did not seem nearly as comfortable as described by other reviewers. The right flip-flop actually hurt my foot. Maybe I got a bad pair. I sent them back and ordered Oakley Supercoil. Hopefully those will be more comfortable and save myself some money.
Wow! Most comfortable flip flop ever. I've always bought Tommy Bahama and while great they don't compare to the comfort and support of these. I'll never be going back. Important! When I first tried these on they were very tight and at times even painful. I emailed Olukai customer service and expressed my concerns. Within minutes I received a personal response explaining how the sandals were more like shoes and would break in over time. Boy, did they. I just came back from 10 days in Europe and wore these every day walking several miles and my back and feet never felt better. Great looking, great fitting and as comfortable as any shoe I've ever owned.
The piece between the toes does need breaking in. It is stiff leather. I love the style. I am size 9½ but size 10 fits great. The laser etching on the footbed is no where near as dark and distinct as the pictures indicate. I wish it were. But that is a preference thing.
Great looking shoes - very comfortable. Unfortunately they are not very durable and after one month of wearing them a few times a week are beginning to look a little sad.
This is the second pair of OluKai Ohana's I've purchased for my husband. He is very hard on shoes and these flip flops can take it! The only thing is they must have changed their sizing because with this pair I'm having to exchange for a larger size. So just a note: go up one size.
Yes, these are pricey for flip-flops, but since I live in flip-flops, I bought them for dress shoes really, sorta tells you about my life style, doesn't it? I have plantar fasciitis and find these shoes very supportive and comfortable, as well as nice looking and well-made. Now if they just came in a wedge version, too, so that I could get my jeans hems up off the floor but the OluKai wedges I tried did not have comparable arch support or heel cradling (the arch support in this shoe is not as high as that of my Orthaheels, but is placed and shaped just right, for me, to do the job. And they are way better looking than Orthaheels--I mean, don't get me wrong, I live in my Orthaheel Tides but those guys' idea of a nice-looking upper/strap leaves a great deal to be desired). If you have some extra cash and have foot issues but want a nice flip-flop, this is pretty sweet. I ordered my usual size 8 and found the fit true to size; I should mention that I have a narrow foot and high, fairly stiff arch.
These ran small. I usually wear an 8, and I had to get the 9 to fit my foot. I wore them once for about two hours and had a blister on the top of my foot down near the toe thong. For the price, I expected them to be very comfortable, and not have scratchy leather causing blisters. These are going back.
Awesome is how I would describe these! I must confess, I am an Olukai junkie, and I know these are expensive, but they are so worth the price. Olukai builds a sandal for comfort AND longevity (looks are a given), so cost per year of wear are reasonable. These sandals are ultra comfortable and very stylish, and can be worn dressing up or down.
Nice flip flop with comfortable foot bed. Good arch support. The strap & thong are too tight for a high instep. Having to return them.
After reading the reviews, I went ahead and purchased because I thought... my feet are tough. These sandals are not horrid, but they certainly aren't comfortable either. And after only 30 seconds around my kitchen, I thought... they aren't worth the bucks either... So they are a RETURN. Which thank goodness Zappos makes that easy.
Love the shoes but love Zappos more. The free shipping and the super fast service are great--there are a lot of companies that could learn something about customer service from Zappos!
These are awesome shoes! The first time I wore them was walking a concrete floor convention hall all day - they felt great very supportive. I recommend these shoes to all my friends!
These are the best flip-flops ever. I have plantar fasciitis, and my feet feel so happy in these because of the footbed material and the arch support. They look great, and now I can wear flip-flops again. If you are a half size like me, go down to the smaller size, not up.
This shoe is difficult to categorize. Based on reviews, the Olukais generally run half to full size larger. So I ordered my size and a half size smaller. Surprisingly, the size 12 (my true size) fit well in length, but the back had too much space. Size 11.5 was better fitting in the back and a little snugger in front (but still fine), BUT the footbed arch was out of whack. I have FLAT feet but the arch was misplaced, even for archy shoes. If the arch was placed CORRECTLY, I would have stayed with the 11.5. I chose this shoe because the back can be flipped down. Ingenious idea!, but it doesn't help that the footbed is messed up in different arch sizes. If you have a good sized high arch, you may forgive the arch alignment. The shoe is also outrageously priced for what it is. Olukai should price this beach shoe at pricey tops.

While well-constructed, there was BLACK PAINT BLEEDING into the white sides where the fabric meets the sole. This is amateur. Period. Another "Made in China" FAIL.
