There are visible nails in the heel of each boot. Also, the nails went through to the inside of heel where my daughter had her heel pricked by the nail. The workmanship of these boots leave a lot to be desired. I do not think this pair of shoes went through quality control process or else these things would have been caught. I am not happy with this purchase at all.

I bought these for myself. I did enjoy the overall look of the shoe itself. The color had a nice worn in look. The biggest problem I found was the arch was extremely high. I have high arches myself and these were so uncomfortable I couldn't wear for more than a few minutes. I don't think anyone with normal arches would be able to stand these boots for long. Another issue was the sole. it appeared to be cheaply glued on and the adhesive was all over the leather around the heel, causing it to be very stiff and shiny.

I tried Old West boots on in a store in a youth 6 and found that they fit pretty well. I usually wear a 7 in shoes and smaller in western boots. However when I ordered a 6 youth it seems like an adult 9 in women's. Also some of the nails stick through in the heel. The boot design is cute but not well made. I am returning them.

My 11 year old son hasn't taken them off since Christmas. He loves them! His old pair, by the same maker, he wore until they wouldn't squeeze onto his feet, and they are in great condition to pass on.

I have purchased two pairs of boots for my granddaughter. She loved both pairs. She helped pick this pair out and she wears them riding, to school and any where her parents allow her to wear them. The boot itself wears well and is comfortable!
