I love, love this boot, but if you have a high instep, don't buy it, I couldn't get it on, the zipper wasn't long enough.

These are so worth the money. Easy to wear and a go-to boot for me. The only detail I would have liked to change would be to have brass zippers instead of the silver color to blend in with the brass studs. Other than that – perfect!
Brands I'd also recommend: Redwing, Timberland

I put these boots on immediately and haven't taken them off all day. I received three compliments in the thirty minutes I spent in the grocery store. I hesitated spending what amounts to more than a week's pay, but I know already that I will get years of enjoyment from these boots. Gorgeous.

Wow! What more can I say. I've received numerous compliments on these from men and women. They're very comfortable and look great. Wore them all day the first time on. I'll be getting another pair for my niece for Christmas. I did go 1/2 size down from my normal shoe size.

I have so many boots-love them, but this one, without exception has been the one that I get the most compliments on-people are continuously stopping me-often 3-4 times a day! and asking me what they are and where did I get them. They are awesome-very comfortable. Seriously-people from horse shows to Neiman Marcus have stopped me regarding these boots!

About Old Gringo
Founders Yan Ferry and Ernie Tarut decided to combine Yan’s bootmaking and design skill with Ernie’s years of experience in leather manufacturing to create boots of superior style and quality. Thus Old Gringo was born. The first Old Gringo factory opened in 2000 with a collection of original, vintage and retro styles. These styles bridged the gap between western style and pure fashion.
Every Old Gringo boot goes through one hundred-ten individual steps, performed by skilled craftsman. This is a very time-intensive process, but the consistent application of these skills is required to make a superior quality boot. Old Gringo produces and tans their own leathers in colors, textures and finishes to meet the meticulous demands of their designers. After carefully selecting the finest grade of leather, the leathers undergo a detailed tanning process. Each of the next steps, from cutting the upper materials to assembling the insoles and outsoles are critical in the construction of the perfect boot.
