This is my first pair of Old Gringos and they are my favorite boots after less than 2 months. At first I was a little wary of the width, but since I have a medium width foot, they fit me like a glove. I will continue to buy Old Gringos in the future. I have always worn Lucchese. Have a couple of pair of them as well. These Nevedas looked broken in right out of the box.

Old Gringo Nevada - I bought the Old Gringo Nevada boots in the Black Cracle color. The lining of these boots is amazingly soft and comfortable, more than any other pair of boots that I own. The instep on Old Gringo Boots seems to be higher than those of other brands; otherwise they fit true to size. I have a low instep, and that is the only reason why I rated them as a 4 for comfort rather than a 5. Lucchese boots would be the most similar fit to Old Gringos. These boots aren't for riding, but for casual wearing these boots are great. I love Old Gringo!

Old Gringo Nevada=GREAT boots. I own 4 pairs of Old Gringo Nevada boots, including the Dusky Blue pair I just got. The quality is excellent, and I find them comfortable even with the narrow pointed toes.

As beautiful as it looks! My husband asked me if Zappos had western boots, and I told him I didn't know. We checked--and they did! He was looking for something in a gray and found this beautiful dusky blue in a brand he has never worn. They are spendy, but worth it. They are definitely good looking and the workmanship is perfect. He hasn't worn them yet, says they feel a bit larger in the heel than what he has worn, but we know they will adjust to his feet.

Founders Yan Ferry and Ernie Tarut decided to combine Yan’s bootmaking and design skill with Ernie’s years of experience in leather manufacturing to create boots of superior style and quality. Thus Old Gringo was born. The first Old Gringo factory opened in 2000 with a collection of original, vintage and retro styles. These styles bridged the gap between western style and pure fashion.
Every Old Gringo boot goes through one hundred-ten individual steps, performed by skilled craftsman. This is a very time-intensive process, but the consistent application of these skills is required to make a superior quality boot. Old Gringo produces and tans their own leathers in colors, textures and finishes to meet the meticulous demands of their designers. After carefully selecting the finest grade of leather, the leathers undergo a detailed tanning process. Each of the next steps, from cutting the upper materials to assembling the insoles and outsoles are critical in the construction of the perfect boot.

Beautiful But Quite Narrow - These are indeed as beautiful as other reviewers noted. I was a little worried they might be "too feminine", but I personally did not find that to be the case. They are also well-made. However, they are quite narrow, even in the standard "D" width. My foot is average to just slightly wide, yet they were just too tight width-wise. Unfortunately, I haven't been able to find Gringos in wider widths. If you have a normal or narrow foot, then I highly recommend this boot; otherwise stay away.
