Founders Yan Ferry and Ernie Tarut decided to combine Yan’s bootmaking and design skill with Ernie’s years of experience in leather manufacturing to create boots of superior style and quality. Thus Old Gringo was born. The first Old Gringo factory opened in 2000 with a collection of original, vintage and retro styles. These styles bridged the gap between western style and pure fashion.
Every Old Gringo boot goes through one hundred-ten individual steps, performed by skilled craftsman. This is a very time-intensive process, but the consistent application of these skills is required to make a superior quality boot. Old Gringo produces and tans their own leathers in colors, textures and finishes to meet the meticulous demands of their designers. After carefully selecting the finest grade of leather, the leathers undergo a detailed tanning process. Each of the next steps, from cutting the upper materials to assembling the insoles and outsoles are critical in the construction of the perfect boot.

I think this is my 15th pair of Old Gringo. These studded red boots are beautiful - a bit of bling without feeling like you putting on a show but you soooo are. Worth your time and your money. No makes boots like Old Gringo

These boots are awesome. They are comfortable from day one, not too blingy but enough for that something extra. The boots are great for summer. You just cannot go wrong with Old Gringo! Order these boots, you will not regret it!

I am 65. I have always wanted some red cowboy boots since my mother chucked my boots when I went off to college. I had purchased these in a 10 1/2 when I wear a 10...to me, a boot should keep your feet warm as well as looking good and I wanted something I can wear thick socks with. I have some Old gringo shoes that are a 10 and they are perfect. I am glad I purchased a half size larger because I didn't want my toes squished. Okay, so I wear them around the house to be sure. My toe hurts on one boot....My daughter runs a botique and said.."Well did you get them stretched?" I didn't know they could do that. Got that done and my toe didn't hurt anymore They were however hard to pull on and off. Again ...she said get them stretched. I did and while they are still slightly difficult to pull on I LOVE them. The last time I wore them my daughter's in laws from San Diego came by...get a boot helper and she said....didn't know they made such things. Anyway now I feel like a hip grandma....and tend to eye the new Gringos coming out.

Bought these boots a half size bigger than my regular size and could not get foot in the boot! Beautiful boots but ridiculously narrow and small - do not buy if you have a wide foot!
