Dorky but comfortable - There's a real shortage of this style of slipper on the market these days, so it's good that this seems to be well-made and comfortable. But it does look pretty dorky; something about the cut of the suede around the ankle and the position of the seams.

5 Star luxuries for your feet - I bought these for my husband, and I kid you not, every time he puts them on he says he should have gotten these long ago. He resisted slippers, but he adores these. Loves the fleece and never gets sweaty feet.

Great Shoe...Nice, Warm and Comfy - The shoe is great. It is extremely warm and very comfortable. It is a bit ugly and easy to dirty, but the warmth and comfort make up for it. Beware that the shoe will fit extremely tight on the topside for a couple weeks. It just needs a bit of stretching through wear to tear to make it easier to put on.

Good Value with Excellent Construction - Although not the most expensive slipper/shoe, the Alpine is a uniquely successful execution of the shearling clog. I have been searching for several years for a good replacement for an old Merrel shearling slipper hybrid with no success till I found this brand and model. My main objection to all of the others in this category is their poor execution of the fleece or shearling insole....typically, it is not secured in the footbed and, therefore, is inclined to bunch or roll up as the foot inserts into a slide or clog style shoe. The folks at Old Friend, bless their hearts, have made the entire slipper out of two nested and interlaced layers...shearling wraps the entire interior and suede envelopes the outside. The double layer approach results in a well cushioned, stable footbed that is easy to access handsfree. Additionally, the sole of this slipper is quite rugged and, seemingly, will handle outdoor activity well.

OH SO COMFORTABLE - Zappos helped me find this shoe (Zappos is the best place for customer help I have ever called) and the show is just perfect. In fact, I am going to call and order another pair just like it in black.

Ideal for winter wear! This is my first pair of Old Friends; I'm sold. After receiving these, I ordered the indoor slippers as well. I have a hard time finding comfortable shoes; living in Denver, I'm looking for warmth, comfort, and looks in one package. I had these shipped to me at work; when they arrived, I wore them the rest of the day! They are very comfortable and cozy; I've already worn them on a snowy day and they worked great. I've ordered a second pair today as a backup... I wish they had additional colors available. Great shoe and excellent value!

Comfortable and decent looking - I bought these after hearing my daughter rave about a pair of slippers made by the same manufacturer. They are very comfortable and warm. I do not find the shearling shoe/boot particularly attractive by any manufacturer but these look OK. They have held up well so far to the water and snow we have had and are easy to slip on and off. They do exactly the job I had hoped they would. I usually wear a size 6W or 6 1/2M and ordered the 7. It fits perfectly.

Didn't quite fit - I wear a size 11 shoe in nearly every brand. This one felt a 1/2 size too small and fit too tight over the top of the foot.

Husband loves them - I ordered my husband’s 3rd pair of these slippers. He loves them. The first 2 were just a little different. (The dog ate the first pair) The sole is thick enough to go out with the dog. Snuggle-ly warm inside. Seems to fit really well.

Awesome shoe - I have never liked wearing mules at all but the first time I put this shoe on I didn't want to take it off. Very, very comfortable and are great with or without socks. I plan to buy a few more pair so I always have them. Looks casual or can dress them up.

Slip 'em on and go! Super comfortable, decent to low arch support, not ideal for those with foot issues like plantar fasciitis. Overall, if I could wear these to work, out to dinner, etc., I certainly would!!!!
