My father-in-law is 97 with Macular Degeneration and Peripheral Neuropathy in his hands and feet. He has gone through many pairs of "conventional" slippers, always having trouble putting them on and therefore breaking down the backs. He loves these booties. Easy to put on, keeps him warm even with poor circulation, and gives him good support.

After my husband's back surgery, he had edema in his lower legs and a condition called stasis dermatitis which caused a rash on his lower legs, so he didn't like to wear socks. These slippers (more like a shoe) were perfect. They slipped on easily, they stayed on his feet, and they kept them warm because they are lined with a fleecy material. He couldn't bend over and dress himself, so I was happy that these slippers were "easy-on, easy-off". They open up wide for easy dressing, yet they stay on the foot because of the velcro-like strap. He could wear these outdoors, but they are not waterproof. They really are like an "old friend" -- they are comfortable, trustworthy, & worth their weight in gold.

Super comfortable shoe purchased for my elderly father. The sole is solid and shoes look good enough to wear out of the house. Nice looking too and very well made. Easy for him to put on and super comfortable. Support is pretty good, too.

As always, dealing with Zappos is a pleasure. My husband is very handicapped and I have been looking for slippers that do not require him to keep bending over to get them on. These Old Friend slippers are absolutely fabulous! The Velcro closure is perfect (made very well, too) and the slipper itself is very sturdy. I could not be happier with my find. I am a regular Zappos customer and have bought quite a few shoes from them. Always satisfied.

This is the best slipper I have ever owned. It is comfortable and warm. I always have cold feet, but not when I wear this slipper, my feet stay nice and warm. Plus it is durable enough to wear outside. I am thinking about ordering another pair to take to the office as they are more comfortable than all my shoes. Great product!
