I was looking for a slightly retro-looking sandal and took a chance on this model in the black leather/beige suede combo. The classic color combination is great and the beige doesn't have that dirty look that you sometimes see. Although I was concerned about it before ordering, I found the purple insert at the bottom of the heel does not stand out given the color of the sole. The shoe is much less matronly-looking in person than in the photo and flattering on the foot. The beige ankle strap helps create a long leg line for me because it doesn't visually cut off the foot as a dark strap would. The leather is very soft so the front strap can feel snug without being binding. I measure the heel to be less than 3 inches and does not feel high. My comfort rating is for a dress shoe not a true comfort shoe - note that these are not really padded.
