Is there anything more obsessive than the hunt for the perfect jean? I have a pair of NYDJs already, & thought these sounded like the cut was a bit more modern. After several wearings, I am happy with them. They stay up better than most stretch jeans, the light weight denim isn't as hot as others, & they really smooth out the jiggly bits. My normal size 12 fits pretty good, could maybe go down a size for a nightclub look. They are just as high in the rise as my other NYDJ, even though the description says they are an inch lower, so they still are 'mumsy'. The 34" inseam is a stretch, they aren't long enough for heels for me, but okay with flats. Overall, I do like them as an everyday, running errands/weekend jean. But if you hoped for a hip & modern fit, not so much. If you are a fan already, you will be really happy with this cut. If you don't have NYDJs, I would recommend trying on a pair before you order online, just because the fit is different from most jeans (they actually fit a lot like St. John Sport jeans). After weighing the good vs. bad, I am glad I got them & would recommend them. If you are sick of muffin tops and/or constant pulling & tugging on low rise jeans, you will like them. I ordered these jeans in both a 12 and 14, figuring one would fit but I ended up sending both back. The 14 was huge and more like a 16. And even with the 12, there were unattractive fabric puckers around the crotch. By contrast, I also got a different pair of NYDJ in the same order that fit fine. I think maybe this particular cut would be better for someone with a fuller bum, which might help smooth out the puckers.
Brands I'd also recommend: J Brand, 7 for All Mankind

Ran a little big. They actually looked a like mom jeans on me. I liked the color and the cut of the leg, so I'll still wear them with a long shirt covering the top. Disappointed though.

I love these! I don't have a daughter, but I ordered a close-fitting size, and they are so comfortable and stylish. The stretchy fabric makes the high waist comfortable with no chafing, but it doesn't look flimsy or cheap.

These jeans fit my (size 10) body perfectly, long enough and with just the right amount of stretch, maintaining their shape even after wearing for many hours. (For reference, in men's jeans, I take a 31 waist/34-35 inseam.) Very comfortable and slimming! The only downside is that I wish the waistband was reinforced so it would not fold over on itself when not wearing a belt on.

These jeans are absolutely fabulous! Flattering, slimming, but yet don't have the look of 'mom' jeans. They have enough stretch for comfort but don't lose their shape. I did find them to run one size small so I would recommend ordering a size up from your normal size.

These jeans are comfortable and look good. I usually wear a 34in. inseam, but these were a tad short, so I can't wear them with heels. I kept them anyway since it's hard to find jeans long enough. They're fine with flats.

I love these jeans. Finally, a pair that is truly high rise so that your underwear (or your muffin top) doesn't stick out. The material is great - it holds you in without feeling too tight or uncomfortable.

I told my husband that I was getting non-mom mom jeans. After giving birth to twins, I wanted something with a little more coverage, but still stylin'. Well, these are not it. Beware: These are mom jeans. They taper at the bottom. They emphasize your thighs. And they do nothing to help out the rear. And I was rather disappointed in the quality. The thread in the inside was unraveling like crazy when I received them. Disappointed on every count.

I love these jeans: a true high rise. They fit like the old Ditto Jeans. I have a long waist and long legs, and I fight with most stretch jeans to keep them up. This is my second pair. I had one, and I was wondering how to find the style again because I didn't recall the style I bought. So comfy - very happy!

I am tall and thin. These jeans fit me very well. The legs are not too tight or too baggy, and the rise is long enough. I like the lighter weight denim. I bought 2 pairs. I usually wear a size 4 in NYDJ, but I needed a 6 in these.
