I would recommend going down a size. These jeans look and feel great for the first few hours I have them on - then they stretch out... and by the end of the day I can't wait to get them off because I feel sloppy.

As someone who is over 40, tall and not thin, I'm forever looking for jeans that are long enough for my height, generous enough for my thighs, and high enough so I don't get plumber's butt. These had a nice high rise, were on the border of being too snug and okay, but were too short -- not 33" long, at least not in the 14w, more like 31". Why do they give plus sizes shorter inseams than regular sizes? Many of us are tall. Oh well.
