I love all the NYDJ pencil skirts, but this is perfect for the warmer weather because of the lighter weight. Like my other Emma skirts, the fit is very flattering and slimming. I also love the dark denim, it's a little dressier than some of the other lighter blue washes. Friends are always asking where I bought it. Zappos.com is the only place I've been able to find NYDJ skirts. Department stores carry some NYDJ pants, but I've never found them to have the skirts. Thanks, Zappos!

I've been looking for a denim skirt and finally found this one. It's longer than most--just below the knee, but that length looks best on me. It's a little big in the waist, but otherwise perfect!

This skirt is great! It's very comfortable and seems to be well made. (Also love that it's made in the US!) If you're on the shorter side, it will fall past your knees, although the stretchiness of the fabric means you can probably wear it a little higher or lower. I had never tried this brand before, but I chose a size based on the measurements in the size chart and it's just right!

Great year round skirt. Perfect length with a lot of 'give' to the material for easy maneuvering and comfort. Nice dark denim. It does stretch out a bit after a few wears but goes right back to original shape with washing. Very happy customer!

Great weight, lovely color and the sizing is correct. The shape of the skirt is not as straight as I would have liked but I think that's more because of the stretch in them. Cute "dress up or down" skirt. Really like it.

I really like this skirt. It was great for travel -- the denim is lightweight and it has pockets. I think it runs a bit large, and it would be better if it was just a bit shorter.

I really like this brand. However, I do wish they would cut the skirt straight on the sides instead of going in. Who, except young people (who I doubt wear this brand), want their skirts to go in at the bottom?! Fabric and style is great.

I generally wear a 12, but the 12 made me look larger while the 10 while tighter gave me a more pleasing figure. The narrower bottom feels weird but helps to visually elongate. The denim is thin but because of the length and how close it fits, it's not something I would want to wear when it is hot out. It is kind of pricey for what it is, but it is well made and cleverly designed to be flattering. I expect to get a lot of use out of it.

Best skirt ever! This is the most comfortable and flattering skirt I own, and I have at least 20 skirts. The light weight denim is wonderful. I have 3 other NYDJ skirts and this is the best one for sure. It's true to size/runs a little larger than the other NYDJ denim skirts so if you're between sizes, order down.

Great skirt. Fits well. I usually would have ordered an 8 but from reading reviews it sounded like it runs a hair big, so I ordered a 6 and it was perfect. Comfortable stretch fabric. Plenty long. Hits me right at the knee and I'm 5'10. Just right.

I'm not a daughter, nor a mother. I'm a late 20-something who needed a great fitting jean skirt. I bought several online with the assumption that if I didn't like the fit, color, cut, etc, I would simply return them. Of the 4 jean skirts that I bought, this is the one that I'm keeping! It flatters my waist and butt. It hits my knees at just the right spot. I would highly recommend trying them. It's worth the price!

I just received my NYDJ Emma skirt and I am thrilled with it! The denim is lightweight, comfortable, and forms to my figure perfectly, without bulges or bumps. I am 5'10" 133# (I have more hips than belly) and a size 6 is perfect--hitting me right at the knee. I will be able to wear this with boots in the winter and sandals in the summer! I love it! I may have to order another one! Thanks for the super quick service Zappos! I ordered the skirt at about 8:15 CST last night and had it in my hands by 10:30 this morning (I live in Missouri BTW)! Crazy!

I love the style of this classic NYDJ denim skirt. The dark denim blue is a perfect color. I don't mind the taper at the bottom. I ordered a 16, which creases across the underpant line for some reason. Maybe the lwaist, which is about 2 inches too big, contributes. I am disappointed to return this skirt.

This is a great skirt. It is made from a soft fabric. It is also a good length, I am 5'5", and it hits right above my knee. Go one size down for best results.
