The circumference is not 16 1/2 inches...I couldn't even get them on all the way and my calves are not 16 in. The style is cute, but they look a little cheap in person. And yes, they do have an awful smell to them, almost like gasoline. If you have larger calves, don't bother with this one.

Loved the look of these boots and I had to have them. They are a tad snug in the calf area but because of the material they do stretch after wearing them a few times but if you think your jeans might fit in there you better have skinny calves. I'm throwing these on with a pair of leggings everyday this winter. Love them!

I love these boots. I wore them with just about everything I have that matches I wanted to buy both the tan pair and the brown but they didn't have the brown at the time but I was skeptical when I first took them out but after walking in them I fell in love.

Super cute boot! Received many compliments on them. Order your regular size, at least for those with normal size calfs. I went a half size larger because of my wide feet but I actually didn't need to do that. The boots were too big so I returned them for my regular size and it fit perfectly! Even though I have wide feet the medium width didn't bother me. I wouldn't wear these boots for walking long distances but for my purposes they are extremely comfortable. Very fast shipping on exchanges too. I'm very happy with my purchase and it was a reasonable price to pay for boots.

I bought thee boots beause I needed an inexpensive pair for an upcoming trip. I am totally pleased with the look and feel of these boots! They fit great. I can get them on and off with no problem. They look great with leggings and jeans and sweaters. Perfect for a season!
