A nice indoor flat. I was hoping I could wear them outdoors, but they absorb water like a sponge.

These run a little small! I'm a 9 and had to get a ten. However, Zappos provides the best service!! Outstanding customer service and premium quality delivered with speed. You never go wrong with these folks.

The New Balance shoes I've been wearing for the last 15 years seemed to be getting bulkier and bulkier and I wanted something lighter/trim. Also, my 7 year old daughter has started playing soccer and I wanted something that could be a nice everyday shoe, but also could work as a decent soccer shoe while playing with her. I was a bit apprehensive about wearing the Nike Gato IC. I had worn Nike about 30 years ago and the experience wasn't that great because they wore out comparatively quickly. Frankly, I'm much larger than I was then and there didn't appear as though they would have sufficient padding, especially after coming from New Balance. However, these have been a real surprise. They have been better than I could have hoped for. They are stylish, comfortable, and the padding is, in my opinion, superior to that of the much thicker New Balance (622's) I had been wearing. Unlike New Balance which appears to rely on both the insole and sole for padding, the Gato's sole provides all of its cushioning. I don't know how, I just know it does. I've been wearing a size 14 EE in New Balance for about 6 years (it's true, foot size does increase with age!). I tried a 14 in the Nike and they were way too tight. Zappos was great and sent the 15's before I had even returned the 14's. The 15's fit great. This is doubly surprising considering that it is also a medium width. Size 15 is also the largest in this shoe, so I'm out of luck if my feet "grow" (spread) more. Summary: Pros: Stylish, more comfortable that they would appear, good ankle support, and excellent padding considering the thinness of the sole. Cons: The insole is glued in. Size 15 Nike is about same as a New Balance 14. Potential long-term problem with sole compressing over time, reducing cushioning. Neither are show stoppers.

This is a great looking shoe. Looks great, well constructed, but this thing is way narrow. It feels more narrow than an Adidas shoe, and to me they are made specifically for people with extremely narrow feet. I wish Nike would make an indoor shoe with some width to it. This to me doesn't even measure out to a typical medium width. I have gone up a size and even though the length is better, the typical widening you'd get on a bigger shoe is just not here. It's unfortunate, because for the quality of construction and overall makeup of the shoe along with the price, this would be an absolute steal for an indoor shoe. Oh well, the search continues, but the Gato 5 is out of the equation which is not cool at all. I loved the look and materials. Nike is so close to the perfect replacement for the ever too narrow Samba, but they just need to make them in differing widths apparently. Nike sizing has gotten increasingly frustrating over the last two years as well.

It is not 40 or 7 in man's size, it should be 7 in woman's size. Very bad quality; looks like fake Chinese shoes. Never buy brand shoes from USA again - European quality is much better.

These sneakers are so stylish! They fit great and give that old school look but super cute! Not meant for any kind of training though. Looks great with black leggings and skinny jeans. Order a half size up, they run small.

I'm 55. I have 3 sons, 19, 18, 16. We all have the same shoe...why? It's a great shoe. I've had 2 back jobs done, new hip; this shoe has given me a sense of comfort. I'm back.

I love these shoes. I actually ordered this pair because I already have this exact pair and I am worried about what I will do when I wear them out. Now I have a back up pair.

I really like a simple white shoe, but not ultra-plain like Chuck Taylors or Stan Smiths. The Gato fits the bill in the style department. The gum rubber adds some interest and doesn't look dirty very fast, though the suede does need periodic care. The shoe leather is stiff but does soften up after a day or two. The Gato runs extremely small and extremely narrow - I ordered 1 1/2 sizes up, and even then it's still scrunching my toes. I don't know how they can claim the 12 is a 12 - I couldn't even get my foot in it. I ended up exchanging them for 14. and it's borderline too small. This would've been my first pair of Nikes, but again they've confirmed that all their shoes are too narrow and sized incorrectly, as I had suspected for many years.

The shoe itself is comfortable and stylish. I searched for a soccer/leisure shoe for months, and am extremely pleased with the Gato. Not only does the shoe look good, it provides excellent touch on the soccer ball. I'm tempted to buy another pair before they go out of production.

Nice looking shoes, but run half size small. I did not believe the reviews and ordered true size and it was way too tight. I know soccer shoes have a snug fit but this was small in length.

I use the Nike Gato for a casual shoe. It is very stylish and I have gotten numerous comments on how fresh they look. They are very comfortable all around and somewhat breathable as well. I'm sure they would make a great indoor shoe too.

These are very light and comfortable. The arch have a little less support but I have not found that to be a problem on the squash court. They run very small I bought a full size larger after I received my first pair of 8 1/2s.

Personally, I bought these to look cool while coaching my kid's soccer team. Great looking shoe, to me, a more comfortable version of the Adidas Samba, and better looking. Softer, more cushioned, and no ugly tongue sticking out. It is narrow in fore foot, but it's a soccer shoe, people.

Great shoes, nice touch, light, and very quiet on the field to the point I really do feel like a feline when moving around. I'd definitely recommend this to anyone that wants a comfortable shoe with great touch. Thumbs up Nike.

This was the first time I ever purchased shoes online and first from Zappos.com; I have to say that it was a great experience and I will be purchasing from here more often. As for the Nike5 Gato, they are truly wonderful shoes. I first bought them for indoor soccer play but after realizing how nice they are I decided to wear them on a regular. They are light, comfortable, and quality of the shoe is just amazing. I am actually thinking about purchasing another pair not to far in the near future. Great buy! You won't be disappointed.

Unbelievably durable and well made: my 13-year old son wears these day in and day out, as an all day shoe as well as for futsal and soccer on the playground. They have good structure for kicking, and they've lasted and lasted and lasted. The soles are wearing out, but the uppers haven't busted out the way most shoes eventually do. I have a pair of Adidas Sambas, and they feel more like a slipper than a real shoe, compared to these.
