Love this gadget! It has a great online application that helps you set goals, track your runs, and find new running routes. It needs to be calibrated when you first use it, but then you're off! It motivates me to get out and run, and at a great price, too.

Need special Nike shoes to go with it. Nowhere is this mentioned in the description.

Love the watch. Great "partner"/distraction on the longer runs. I find the accuracy good and the ease of the website/down loading info manageable. It's not as fancy as many other watches out there, but the price isn't fancy either. I wear Nike shoes so it's a great bonus. I tried syncing it with my iPhone, but I'd rather not run with my iPhone, but it was easy enough to do. I get several compliments on the watch when I'm not running which opens the door for me to start talking about running - I'm training for my second marathon and I love to chat about it to whoever will listen, thus my review.

Ordered this item twice, first sportband I received had a display that went faulty. All of my 8's looked like 6's, which gets confusing when tracking mileage. Second one I've owned over 3 weeks and 90 miles. Isn't extremely accurate, but close enough. Very easy to set up and use, great design and the website is a great tool. I bought a pouch for the sensor as I run in Saucony shoes and it works great. I recommend for the serious enough to know mileage runner, but not for those needing exacts. And as always, Zappos was amazing on the transaction, return, etc.

Jeez Louise, people! I understand that Nike shoes aren't for everyone. But do some research! You can still use this product without the shoes. If you look up Nike+ sensor pouches, you will find a variety of pouches that lace up to any type of shoe and the you put the sensor inside. The sensor still works great (read the reviews) and you can wear whatever shoes you would like! However, if you switch shoes often, you will need to re-sync the sensor. No big deal, and a great price for the product!

I love what the Sportband can do. It is pretty accurate for my distance and pace, even right out of the box, although calibration does make it better. Also, it grabs many compliments just because it looks so cool. Plus, the price is reasonable compared to other brands. But they do not stand the test of time very well. I had the light grey/pink combination first, which looked absolutely filthy after only a few months of normal wear, even though I would frequently wipe it down. Then I got the black with cool silver design. The silver was wearing off after only a month. Also, water somehow got inside and ruined the display after a few months. Finally, I have the plum/red combo, which has held up nicely in its first month. Each time, Zappos found a way to make me a happy customer and replace my watch. I love Zappos! And still love my sportband!
