The padding inside the shoe was amazing; and the style was pretty cool but I still ended up returning the shoe. I purchased this pair to wear to a boot camp class where we do a lot of lateral moves - a lot of jumping jacks, side lungs, jumping from side to side - and although this shoe was okay another pair of Nikes (the Nike Flex Trainer 2) provided much better lateral support. I will probably use this more for the treadmill or even zumba class.
I'd also recommend: Nike Flex Trainer 2

These are the most comfortable shoes I have ever owned, I don't know what I will do if they stop making them, I am going to get them in plenty of colors so they will last for a very long time. The cushion is unbelievable, very comfy - and I am a person that hates closed toe shoes being that I live in Florida. They are by far the best!

If you need a very well padded shoe due to foot problems, as I do, this is a very comfortable sneaker once it's one. A bit hard to pull on as the tongue is fixed and the laces don't really open it up, but once it's on, so comfy. If you're looking for a stiff or very supportive or a running shoe, however, you need to look at another model. This shoe's good for Zumba or training but not enough support for running. I get many compliments on these (and on my older grey and orange ones) at the gym.
I'd also recommend: Saucony

To provide an accurate review, you have to know for what activities you plan to use the shoe. I use this shoe as my every day sneaker for walking and I own 2 pair. It has a great footbed cushion, and feels almost like a slipper. I would recommend it for walking and normal day to day activities. I do not use it for running or workouts as my foot tends to slide a bit in them when doing high impact activities (running or lateral movements) due to the footbed cushion. For that I use the Nike Free +2. In my opinion, you could use the shoe for workouts/running by simply replacing the removable footbed cushion with something more firm.

These are great shoes for walking, the casual gym goer or for someone who doesn't do a lot of lateral movements (bootcamp or step classes). I do a lot of different types of workouts so I need a shoe that provides stability during lateral movements and this shoe definitely does not have it. Doing walking lunges (or even static ones) is almost dangerous because your foot slides off the shoe bed, which can mess up your knees. Now I just wear them for doing upper body weights or cardio on the machines. I got the black & turquoise and love the color combo. The new cushion Nike is using in this shoe feels like a Tempurpedic mattress, which is awesome but also somehow means you must wear very thin socks. I got a size 6, which fit perfect but I have to wear the thinnest athletic socks possible.
