My son goes through about a pair of skate shoes every 6 weeks. We have had two pair of the Nike PR 5's and they have been very good. They wear quite well and the typical spots the board eats through are as durable or more durable than most comparable shoes, and we have been through most well regarded skate shoes. Even though they are on the pricey side, they are a good purchase.
Brands I'd also recommend: Lakai, Emerica

Shoes are durable and last. My son skateboards about 40 hours a week and tends to go through shoes like they grow on trees. These have been perfect for him. One thing though is there's very little arch support. I would suggest buying insoles to put in them.
