My 13 year old son loves these shoes. After receiving them, even I thought they looked pretty cool; the colors aren't as bright as they show online. He gets tons of compliments from other kids on these shoes. They are also very comfortable. And as usual, Zappos service is wonderful!

My 12 year old son has been wearing the Nike Oncore for two years. He loves them and I do too. His foot is slightly wide so these sneakers work perfectly. The colors are always very cool for any age. We buy a new pair every five to six months based on him wearing them every day in all weather.

If you skateboard, don't get this sneaker. The colors are awesome (particularly the yellow), and it fits very well; it's probably excellent for just a day to day shoe. However, just doing ollies and kickflips have irritated and scraped the skin of my little toe (since that's up against the shoe while/when I slide my foot up the board). I've been using the shoe for about a month, and already, some of the stitching by the toe has come up, and there's a hole in the area around the ankle. This is probably due to wiping out while skateboarding, and skateboarding in general, but it's still very disappointing. I wouldn't recommend this shoe for skaters. If it can't stand up to what a beginner puts it through, it certainly won't stand up to intermediate or advanced skaters. I'll have to get a new pair of sneakers since these are falling apart.
