I love these shoes! I've been wearing other brands of "barefoot/minimum" soled shoes for several years. These shoes are so cute and comfortable. While they aren't as "barefoot" as my Vibram Five Finger, I don't hear, "hey, gorilla feet!" When I wear my Newton's, I hear, "wow, cute shoes, where did you get them?"

Love, love these shoes. Have worn them walking 4 days now... increasing distance each day. NO getting used to, NO blisters, NO back pain. Very close to walking in MBT sandals but way more support and so much lighter!

I'm a distance runner I LOVE them. After reading mixed reviews I decided to give them a shot. Better than expected, light, comfortable, supportive. May never wear anything else to be honest.

These shoes are worth every penny! They are the best athletic shoes I have ever put on. I had tried the Gravity model & another before & did feel the need to go up a half size in those models. The other models did not fit me as well, plus I like the tighter texture of this fabric better. I read the reviews & I am a walker, not a runner, and these are designed to be more of a multi-purpose shoe. I usually wear an 8 in an athletic shoe, but I ordered a 7-1/2 in these since that was the only pair left in this aqua color & they were just perfect. With the Gravity model I was debating between an 8 and an 8-1/2 but the shoe just didn't fit my foot right. Whenever I put a pair of my old shoes -- Ecco & New Balance -- they just don't feel right anymore. I am sold on Newtons. People are raving about the aqua color -- I have had so many compliments it is unbelievable. I don't like the purple that much and hope that Newton will come out with another color in the Momentum by the time I need a new pair.

I'm a new-ish runner, with average/high arches and a neutral foot strike. I added these into rotation with a pair of Saucony Kinvera 2's. They had a lower heel-toe drop than I was used to, but after transitioning to them I got used to it. They feel great to run in. My right foot was a bit "tall" for the shoe, and the first few outings I had some numbness in my toes, so I adjusted the lacing so there was less pressure on the top of my foot. That solved the problem. This probably wouldn't be an issue for folks with less "tall" feet. The color is really bright, and I'm a little self conscious about it sometimes, but that is the style right now.

I love my Terra's. They never hurt my feet whereas some other brands do. I have to say I have gotten holes in the toe area before and I wish they could fix this, but I won't change brands. Also just for anyone who might need the info, I got a painful callus between my toes with another brand of shoes. The way I got rid of it was to run with a cotton ball between my toes. Works wonders! It keeps your toes apart (no rubbing) and it goes away. Definitely try this. I am getting ready to buy another pair of the Terra Momentums. They just fit my feet.

Love these Newtons. This is my second pair of Newtons and I probably will never buy any other brand. They are comfortable, lightweight and supportive. I get lots of positive comments on the bright color, but why not have fun when you are working out. I wear a 9 1/2 and bought a 10. They fit great!

I was really excited to start running with my Newtons, but it's been a couple of weeks and I don't think I'm in love. I'm a mid-foot runner and I usually wear 7 1/2 but I got a size 8 for swelling allowance. Maybe sizing up was my mistake because they are too sloppy and I got blisters running hills. The rubber is pretty hard on the sole = very little shock absorption. I really wanted them to be perfect and I find them...well, kind of cheaply made for the price. I've moved on to Hoka one one, maybe I can love them.

I've been apprehensive about Newtons ever since I heard about them but I just decided to train for a marathon so I wanted something with more substance than my other forefoot shoes. The Newtons are great! They are lightweight and very easy to continue proper forefoot/midfoot strike technique. I really think these will prevent injury as I increase mileage. These are definitely worth the extra money (above other comparable shoes). Don't really like the color but the performance is perfect.

Awesome shoe. For years I ran with knee braces and ankle supports...no more now that I run on Newtons. Transformed my running and renewed my desire to run. Thanks Newton!

These shoes are great! Comfortable and are perfect for running helping you run more efficiently. I took up the recommendation to go a half size up. Great choice!

After almost three weeks, these shoes have saved my knees from pain. I can run in them (finally) without suffering any knee, back, or ankle pain during or after the run. They are extremely comfortable, true to size, and I even get compliments on them. They seem like they will last a while. These shoes are exciting for me because I had to completely avoid any impact and stick to yoga/pilates for years due to crappy shoes. With these, I can add more cardio to my workout routines. Yay!

I had to send these back, because my pinkies were squeezed together with the fourth toes when I tried them on. I usually wear size 9-9.5 but had to exchange the 9.5 with 10, which still did not solve the problem. My feet are on the wide side of regular width.

Okay folks, unlike many of the other reviewers I am very new to running. I'm 43 and never liked running so never did. This past Thanksgiving I decided to get out and walk 3 miles every day and try to get used to "light" running. I now really enjoy my walk/runs, on average 5 times a week. I've also learned the benefits of a very good sneaker as I had bad shin splints in the beginning. I have been running in New Balance since December. Last week I started feeling the tingling in my shins so decided I'm due for a new pair. Based on the reviews of this shoe, I decided to pony up the money that I would not normally spend on a pair of sneakers and bought them. First of all, I ordered my regular size, 9.5 and they fit perfectly. I put my custom insoles in and they felt terrific. Good support, super light, roomy in the toes so no complaints. After reading the running tips that came with the shoe, I went out and as I was approaching my first mile mark, still feeling great, no fatigue or pains in my shins which were beginning again last week, I kept on going. Usually, if I can go a solid mile, I feel very happy with that, but have to walk to rest my shins and ankles and catch my breath, etc. But I kept on going and after mile 2 without stopping, I realized that I had not one bit of fatigue or discomfort anywhere. After running, non-stop the whole 3 mile loop, I was ecstatic! I have to say, the running tips that came with the shoes were just as important for me as the shoes themselves. Based on the other reviews I was really set on taking my time, breaking them in and getting used to the "lugs" over the next couple weeks. Not needed. Love these shoes and now I love running.

I am still getting used to these shoes but overall I love how lightweight they are yet still have some cushioning on the sole. I have noticed that when I run in normal shoes after running in these my calves hurt a lot more with the normal shoes. I read a review before buying them that the lugs on the bottom wear down quickly but that has not been my experience - I actually wish they would wear down quicker. The colors are awesome!

I have been wearing these shoes for a week now and find them to be very supportive for my achy knees. When I first wore them, I wore them only for an hour and loved the way they felt when I walked. The next time I wore them I was walking on them for a few hours and got shin splints (only in my left leg, not sure why) but that is something that sometimes happens when breaking in sneakers. They did not hurt the next day (I took a day off from the shoes) and then wore them again and have had no problems since. I even tried running in them, which is a type of exercise I avoid (I am more of a yoga/dance person) but they really supported me. No knee pain! And no ankle pain (which Nikes tend to give me) so I am sold. Definitely worth the money and the ability to do cardio without pain.

Best sneaker I have ever worn. Live in NYC and walk at least 4 miles a day. This sneaker really absorbs the hit of the cement pavement. The raised section under the metatarsal forces the foot to walk heel to toe. Instant relief from foot pain. Worth the price.

To be honest, I originally got this shoe because of the amazing colors, not because I was thinking comfort - I had my Brooks for that. But these beat Brooks by far! The lightest running shoe I've ever worn and so comfortable I could (actually have) run for miles in them. My calves are already stronger and my feet are so happy. I also like them because I have very long feet (I wear a women's 11) and they make my feet look more petite...always a plus.

I love these shoes. This is my second pair of Newtons, and once I changed my running stride, I really liked them. They do take a bit of getting used to. These are comfortable and light weight, kept my feet cool, and are such fun colors.

This is a great shoe! If you are looking for a minimalist shoe, this is a great place to start. Great for runners with a mid foot strike. This is my fourth pair of Newtons and I'm hooked. My father in law also uses the gravity, and he has had amazing results relieving plantar fasciitis pain.

I set a goal to run a 1/2 marathon next year and was researching shoes and such. I purchased these after running across an article on Runnersworld.com. I did a lot of research and took the plunge. The price was quite a bite for running shoes, but these shoes are totally worth it. Although they took some getting used to because of the design, it was an easy adjustment. I have done 4 runs in these and i will say I am incredibly shocked at my improvements thus far. During my 1st run in my new Gravity I ran in record time (well according to Runkeeper) than I had in years. I was faster , wasted less energy and didn't experience the hip, knee or ankle pains I normally get either. i am a lover of Nike LunarGlide +4 and own 3 pairs, but I am so impressed with my Newtons that I have ordered another pair of Gravity and a pair of Newton Motions to try as well.
