I have been wearing Newton running shoes for over five years. They are a low, natural barefoot type fit. (They do run small so I buy half size larger). This pair is excellent and lives up to all my expectations.

I bought my first pair of Newton running shoes 2 years ago and absolutely fell in love with them. To be honest, even with all the good reviews that others expressed about these shoes, I was extremely hesitant to spend such a high dollar amount on a pair of workout shoes. But due to Zappos awesome return policy, I decided to take the plunge. I couldn't have been happier with my decision to do so. I exercise at least 3 times a week doing high intensity training workouts and I also jog twice a week, and so I must have good workout shoes. I have never worn such a comfortable shoe ever! Throughout my life, I've worn all the other top brands like Nike, Asics, New Balance and so on, but Newtons far surpass any of them. They are lightweight and give my feet all the right support where needed. I am now on my 2nd pair of Newtons only because I wore my first pair out!!

Highly disappointed in this shoe. The FIRST time I tried it on and tightened the laces, an eyelet tore. Not very sturdy at all for the price. I have other newtons that I love--- this one, not so much.

When I got these shoes I was very excited about how comfortable they were. But was later sorely disappointed. I walk 5-6 miles 5 days a week. After less than a month they were completely worn through.

These shoes are awesome. These are my 4th pair of Newtons, and I previously wore Lady Isaacs. I like these even more. They are super comfy and so bouncy under the balls of your feet from the lugs. They make me want to run more! I do a few miles on the treadmill and orangetheory a few times per week and am really happy with these shoes. They are the best runners. Once you start with Newtons you can't go back.

Newtons are the only shoes that I will wear now. I am a triathlete and have completed an Ironman. I have tried many brands of shoes but always come back to the Newtons for comfort and support.

The shoe is extremely comfortable, but it is already falling apart after 14 days. Of those 14 days, I ran in them 1 time and wore them on the elliptical about 5 times. The defect is not structural, but rather aesthetic. The red Newton logo has already peeled off. Regarding size, I wear a 12 in everything else (Nike, etc.) and the size 12 Newton fits perfectly.

I am loving these. This is my 5th pair of Newtons and I have loved every pair. These may be my new favorite though. I put them on right out of the box and went for a run with no issues & no blisters; they are just perfect!

Love the shoe but the tongue is longer than any pair of athletic shoes I have ever owned. It is so long that I got sores on my ankles during my first long run. I solved the problem by trimming the tongue with a scissors.

Fits true to size! Good cushioning. In between the gravity and energy's. Very comfortable. I would buy this shoe again, I liked this over the gravity because it felt like it had more cushioning. For a moderate pace runner this is a good shoe!

The shoes are very comfortable. I really like the flatness of the sole near the front. I wear a 10 M (regular width) and they feel true to size and width. They look even better in person and I received plenty compliments on them. I've never purchased shoes that have the funds go to a good cause, so I'm pleased all across the board.

Great feel for the road. Help me to not heel strike. Tested with positive results for up to 13 mile runs. Very minimal upper which is less bulky and nice.

I loved the Newtons from a couple of years ago, but they to be making them narrower now. My toes turned numb after wearing them for just a few minutes around the house. In the past the Newton had a wide enough toe box to accommodate my wide feet. There was so much I loved about Newton, but none of the current ones work for me.

I have purchased newtons for five years. I have always been an over pronater. These are the best fit and support out of all of their shoes I have tried. I run between 4-8 miles 5 days a week.

I have been wearing Brooks for years, but none of this year's models worked for my feet. I knew nothing about this shoe, but decided to give them a try. The forefoot cushioning is amazing. There isn't much of a footbed, but once I put my orthotic in it, it was an improvement. Very lightweight. Looking forward to see how they work overtime. Change is good!

Perfect shoe!! I overpronate a little bit, and these shoes are amazing. It truly feels like you are running on a cloud - the most comfortable running shoe I have tried yet!

Update review: I discovered that I can run/jog in these shoes & they are fabulous....lightweight & fast! However, for some reason, I cannot use them for walks as initially I did & they caused some muscle strain.

Great running shoe. Be prepared for it to be different by design, and it will throw you forward when you are just standing but you will understand the difference when you run. I started with the NRII and did 300 miles or so in them and they were great. I am 100 miles or so into my Fate's and they are like new. There is literally no wear on them at all. I am shocked at how comfortable and durable they are. Highly recommend.

I am a heavier set guy and needed a sturdy running shoe. These have been a dream. Haven't experienced shin splints since wearing. They have also worked out as a decent shoe for some Crossfit workouts. Feels comfortable at all times. The built up sole in the front does take some getting used to, it's so different from so many standard running shoes.

These are cute shoes. I wanted to love them, and was especially intrigued by the "lugs" Newton has based their shoes around. As someone suffering from tarsal/metatarsal problems they sounded interesting. However, these shoes were far too narrow in the toe box for me. I have a semi-wide foot and expected these to be wider based on research/reviews. I loved the lightweight upper but just wouldn't have been able to make these work so I ended up returning them.

Good shoe. Light and comfortable. Nice room in toebox. As with all lower heel drop shoes, must gradually increase mileage. These shoes want to go fast and show their stuff with a quicker midfoot strike. Very limited arch support as it is a neutral shoe.
