New Balance Reviews
I love this shoe. The toe box is wide enough to accommodate my bunion which is always a problem for me. Typically, I need to go up a size in most shoes. Not so with this one.
I returned this shoe. It seemed more like a running shoe than a trainer. The shoe was much narrower than the usual crosstrainers from New Balance, many of which I own and love! The arch was high and hurt. I did like that the shoe had good support and would be good for pronation. I also liked that the shoe was lightweight. If you like wide shoes, the wide is not very wide. The size is also a bit short. This shoe would not be good for anyone with wide feet, at least not the D. I'd suggest ordering a half size larger too.
I don't know if I got a regular NB that was just marked wide, but these shoes were definitely not wide. Put them on and they immediately aggravated my neuroma (pinched nerve) in my foot. I've had my foot measured and it is straddling the medium/wide designation. I used to be able to wear medium shoes until the nerve became inflamed. Other wide shoes I've bought recently don't create any problems...be careful when ordering if you're looking for a true wide shoe. Would have loved for this shoe to work because I like the style (red/grey).
Really great shoe. Nice and light and looks great too! I bought these because I have enjoyed my traditional New Balance running shoes so much. I transitioned to these just fine. I even get compliments when wearing them with jeans. I would definitely buy another pair of these to wear as casual shoes so I could keep my running shoes "sacred." You won't regret this purchase!
We have bought these shoes for my special needs brother. The hook and loop make it easy for him to put on and his podiatrice says New Balance are an excellent shoe. Zappos gets the shoes to you the very next day! we always buy from Zappos.
First time NB buyer. I didn't know what I was missing. I'm an overpronator and this style helps tremendously with cushion and protection.
Bought this shoe when I found out that my venerable 8520's were no longer made. These are made on the same last and fit the same. There are several things to like about the shoe: light, provides adequate support in the gym, good looking, comfortable, and made in the US. Pricey but well worth it.
I wear a 10.5 shoe. Zappos never disappoints with their variety! These are comfortable walking shoes. I need to wear an insert in one shoe and it fits well with no discomfort.
Working my way towards a barefoot shoe and this is a perfect middle step. There is a 4mm drop from heel to ball compared to the 0mm drop which is barefoot. These are incredibly light and comfortable. I bought them for running but wear them for Insanity, playing tennis and just walking around in general. This is a perfect all-around sneaker. Especially if you're ready for a change from the clunky model that you have now.
I love these shoes! They are so cushiony! They support very well for the high impact plyometrics and weight training. I only use the elliptical or indoor machines so not sure how it does with running. Does well for side to side movements such as kickboxing.
No arch support in this shoe, and it runs small. I have several different syles of this brand of athletic shoe that are this size that fit me well, and are visibly longer when you put them side by side.

These looked cool, and had quite the rugged sole on them, fit fine for size, but the material used on the piece that goes between your big and second toe is strangely harsh and uncomfortable. I found it also had too thick of a sole for what seemed to be marketed as a minimalist thong/flip flop, it was no thinner than an older pair of shoe-like (ones with straps) Nike flip-flops I have.
This is the first pair of New Balance that I have purchased that I have been disappointed after purchasing. Runs narrow and the tongue is very narrow. I have purchased less expensive shoes in this line with better results.
For walking this is a great shoe. Very comfortable. Works well with my orthotic inserts. It also looks very nice as a casual shoe. I can wear them to work.
I bought these shoes for my mother and she loves them! Fit is true and comfortable. The toe area is a little boxy, but not an issue.
The MX20 Minimus shoes fit Way too Small. Order a full size ip & they'll fit perfectly. These training shoes actually tilt feet inward to a knock-kneed stance and are not made for walking. But they are the best training shoes ever to "keep you on your toes" while running. Walkers hate 'em. Runners love 'em.
The shoe that is now the 993, has changed. While it looks mostly the same, the sole is slightly wider, and the narrow 2AA that has fit my foot perfectly for the last 15 years, now is too wide. Even with thick socks and an extra insole to take up the slack, my heel slides up and down in the shoe. I had ordered 2 different colors, and they were both too wide.
It's been a while since I ordered workout shoes so it's hard for me to get used to all-leather crosstrainers. They don't bend enough so it is hard to work out in them. Otherwise, they fit properly and I'm happy with how fast they arrived.
