Queen's Highest Rating. These were recommended by a fellow co-worker, so I figured "why not, 'tried everything else." I have so many tennis shoes my husband doesn't say a word when I buy them. After getting New Balance 608's and wearing them one night to work, it was shear heaven; my feet didn't hurt all nightlong. My next pair will be the same as the first, middle, and last pair. In other words, I'll never buy any other kind for work, or play, or anything in between!
Brands I'd also recommend: In my opinion there is only New Balance, so I can only say I'm partial (to those).

Comfort for the irregular foot. I have a slightly wide foot with a high instep. Other popular brands are all too narrow for me and did not have enough arch support. I even tried the New Balance Running Sneakers without success. But I never have any pain after wearing the 608s.

Extremely comfortable athletic shoe. I've had many athletic shoes, but this New Balance 608 is fantastic. You can wear them all day and your feet will still feel good. I noticed with some other athletic shoes, I'll have some pain in the arch area, but not with New Balance 608. I recommend them to anyone that is looking for comfort and durability, too.

This is my first pair of NB's and it's like walking on a cloud! I've had many athletic shoes, but the New Balance 608 is great. I wear size 11 AA and it's real important to wear the correct size, not fake it with a medium width and thick socks! I recommend them for the support and comfort! It's my first pair, but not my last! Thank you.

Tough shoe for hard workers!! I work in a store and I stand on my feet for about 8-10 hours a day, these have great arch support, and feel like a cushion of comfort during a long day, HIGHLY RECMOMEND! I own 2 pairs and interchange them to make them last a little longer.
Brands I'd also recommend: I love my Skechers River Jammer Sandals, black, white and tan leather, and my Skecher Sport Triple Plays

The only shoes to ever own!!! I have flat feet, reumatoid arthritis, fibromyalgia, and I am a heavier woman. I am on my feet 18 hours of th 24 running a very busy daycare. They come in wider width's too. I have never worn a better shoe and I have tried everything, cost was never an issue. These could cost a fortune, but they don't, not really for the long wearing comfort that you will experience. The arch support and overall support is the best. I used to break my shoes down in no time. Now they are long wearing and I really get my money's worth. Without these shoes my feet and legs ached all night long and felt like I was walking on beds of nails every morning I stepped out of bed. I highly recommend this shoe to anyone who needs extra support and sheer comfort. Like walking on a cloud.

Re-release of my favorite new balance - And in a new color, too! I was thrilled to see that New Balance had re-released the 608. I have worn them for aerobics for several years. Then I couldn't find them anymore. By a fluke, I was browsing Zappos and found them! And in blue & white!

Need a AAA - Have been looking for a skinny athletic shoe for years. Had settled for a good walking shoe, but this NB shoe (with a heavy sock) works fine. I haven't discovered the secret to what to do with the long laces, but I guess I'll ask a neighbor kid. Anyway, if you need a slim shoe, this can fill the bill.

Service - I ordered twice, the correct size and shoe was ordered and sent both times but the first style did not fit correctly. I was EXTREMELY impressed with the speed of both of your deliveries and the ease of returning the shoe that didn't fit well. The 2nd shoe I ordered was a style I'd worn before and it fits perfectly. I wear at least a AA narrow shoe which is VERY hard to find in any shoe store so it's wonderful to have found a website that not only carries my size shoe but I even have several styles to choose from, the prices are very competetive, and the service can't be beat!!!! The following "survey" will refer to the 2nd shoe I ordered which I kept and liked. The first shoe was fine except that it wasn't narrow enough even though it was a AA.

Glad 608 Is Back - I loved the NB 608, I am hard to fit, and use these for work in a hospital. They have good support, I use an orthotic with it. No breaking time at all. When they stopped making them, I bought the 609, almost as good. Then when I shopped this site last time, I couldn't get the 609 in my size. I was looking again today and found the 608 by accident, I have put it in my favorites on Zappo's, and have ordered a new pair.

Love my New Balance! The last time I had a decent fitting pair of athletic shoes was 6 years ago when I was able to get a 5A heel and a 3A front at an outlet store. I have a very narrow foot and heel problems. I was going on vacation and desperately wanted some athletic shoes. I decided to try some New Balance after reading some reviews. I love these shoes - I wore them for walking shoes at Venice Beach, Ca. I walked about 8 miles one day and my feet never hurt. I usually wear clogs for work, but came back from vacation and wore these for 12 straight hours of being on my feet (retail job). I can't wait to get another pair! The 9AA was perfect for me and my heel didn't slip at all.

New Balance Reigns - These shoes are great. This is my second pair of 608's and I like these even better than the first pair. The toe is a little more square, and they've added some color in strategic spots to make the shoe look shorter (I wear a size 12). They are very comfortable, I wore them all day the first day. They have plenty of room to put orthotics is, too.

So much better on the feet!! I have tried to go with out decent shoes for over a year now. I bought these since I knew how New Balance made my legs and feet feel and it was so nice to not have the leg pain I was suffering from wearing cheap shoes. These feel snug on the first wearing but they soon form to your feet. After the first couple of hours they felt like I had wore them for months! Great Shoe, Great price and fast service!!

Great Shoes! Love NB and these are tops. I suffer from plantar fasciitis and bone spurs and these shoes offer terrific support and comfort. I can wear these shoes with or without my orthotics. I've tried other NB and find the leather styles (600 series) are more supportive for my foot ailments. As usual, Zappos had my order sent by rocket! One day and there they were. Thanks!

Love these shoes! Used to have problems with heel spurs. Under doctor care but these are the only sneakers I can wear that don't bother my heal spurs. Very comfortable and I do a lot of walking. Highly recommend.

A great shoe! I recently purchased this shoe in a 10 N and am very happy with it. I was pleased to find a sneaker in a narrow width and the support and comfort of this shoe is icing on the cake. I found the shoe true to size, as I always buy my sneakers 1/2 size larger than my dress shoes. It has great arch support and shock absorbency, and the navy accents are a nice addition to this shoe.
