These shoes are definitely hybrids. After suffering from plantar fasciitis two years ago while training for the Chicago marathon, I decided to consult Runner's World shoe guide to find the best shoes for me. These are among the many that they recommended. I tried these shoes and three others on the list and these worked the best for me. The shoes feel light but they have decent support allowing me to use them to train for another marathon last year. I have not had any plantar fasciitis problems ever since. I credit the shoes for this for their flexibility allowing my feet to move in more natural way than the other shoes that I have tried.

I have wide feet and have a very hard time finding 10.5 wide shoes. I buy New Balance shoes all the time when I find my size because they have a wide toe box and their "wide" is always a wide.... except with these shoes I felt like they ran about 1/2 size to small and sis not even feel like a wide with the laces all they way open. I even looked inside the shoe to make sure they just were the wrong shoe in the box, and they were correct. Very Very disappointed I even paid the 15 dollars to get them in 2 days.

LOVE these shoes. I get so many compliments on them, and they are wonderfully comfortable. I'm on my feet all day at work (nurse practitioner in a busy ICU) so these shoes have become a new staple. I still alternate these, a pair of Brooks, and a pair of Dansko's, but they are a regular in the "rotation." Bonus that they look cool, and make my feet look small(er)! I'm a size 8-8.5 Got an 8, they just fit, would have been fine with either size I think. FYI I have pathetically flat feet, very wide, yet these felt very nice.

I chose these shoes on recommendation of Runner's World's Shoe Finder. I am not disappointed. It was love at first sight. I thought these were a cloudy grey on the website, but they are actually a light lilac. The breathable mesh has faint sparkles. And the shoelaces? They sparkle too! Oh jolly day! The N is black which makes for nice contrast. They are flexible. Not as flexible as my Nike Free 7.0's (which are unfortunately discontinued), but flexible enough for me. They have support, but not so much that it is going to force me into a neutral gait. They looked more narrow than my Nikes but I pulled the insoles out and compared and they are identical in width through and through. For a proper fit go one size higher than your shoe size. If you wear an 8 in office flats, go for a 9. Proper fit would require you to have a thumb width between your toe and the end of the toe bed. As far as running in them, I noticed these literally put a spring in my step from the get go. Great traction, great cushion, lightweight. I felt exuberant while running. In short, I love these shoes!

This shoe didn't feel bad but it didn't feel really nice & comfortable either. I've tried many shoes this year & have had a horrible time finding supportive, comfortable shoes. I tried these shoes on briefly & knew immediately that they wouldn't do. I have bone spurs in my heels & plantar fasciae. My heel is tender & sore. I hoped to find a truly comfortable shoe. This wasn't it. It felt as if there is no cushioning on the bottom of the shoe. I wear an orthotic that is stiff & I really need as much cushioning as possible. I'll be checking out the Asics as my doctor suggested. The podiatrist recommends New Balance & Asics for stability.

Love running in these shoes and wearing them at work at the hospital. Lightweight and comfortable with just the right amount of support. My only complaint about them in the just over a month of owning them is that at the ball/middle of my left shoe it's starting to click and pop as if something were loose inside the shoe. It's very audible when walking down hallways at work and I can sometimes feel it clicking with my foot. Not sure what it exactly is and not sure if I should contact Zappos about it being that the shoes aren't even 2 months old? Hope this review helps!

I'd also recommend: new balane, nike
