This is a great shoe for walking--light weight, great cushioning for the heel, and a wide, deep toe box. I have bunions on both feet and this shoe is one of the more comfortable ones I have tried. The arch support is great for someone who has flat feet like me.

I purchased these yesterday and wore them the same day on a 4 mile walk outside. When I got home, I was so disappointed to discover the left foot right side seam had totally come apart and just now when I was boxing up the shoe to return I noticed the right foot seam also has come apart. There is no way my brief walk put that much pressure on the shoes. I am disappointed at the overall quality of this defective shoe! Based on the fact both the left and right shoes were defective I am going to assume this an overall quality issue with these shoes and not a one-off incident and will therefore not order another pair. My hunt for a great shoe continues....

Good walking athletic shoes are hard to find! I bought these at a running store, and when I told the clerk I exercise walk 1-2 hours/day, and said I needed a big toe box, he immediately suggested these. They're perfect (albeit boring looking). (So perfect I've come to Zappos to order a backup pair.) The toe box is roomy, the padding is great - considerably better than others I've tried. No blisters or aches from these shoes, despite serious walking 2 hours at a time. The shoe is true to size, but maybe a skosh big, so if you are in between sizes, choose the smaller for this shoe.

I have narrow and harder to fit feet than most and these are really comfortable. Plus they are fun colors since I've always had to buy plain white.

As a female, to find a running shoe with a narrow heel and wide toe box is always difficult. I have been buying Asics Nimbus for years, I wear a size 9 to 9/1/2 in women's, so in men's Nimbus I bought a 7.5 EE or even a 7.5 4EE in men's. In the past, the nimbus was nice and round on the toe box for my big toe, but I could tighten it down on my laces to keep my foot in place. However, this last model of Nimbus, they tapered the toe box even more than last model, making the shoe terrible for rubbing my big toe even in a men's 8.5 EE. After 12 pairs of shoes sent back and forth from Zappos.com (thanks for not cutting me off!) I ended up with these NB 840V2 in a women's 9.5 D width. I can't believe that they are actually a bit too wide in a D, but I love the toe room. They have the forefoot cushion I loved in the Nimbus, great cushion all around, yet the sole is wide enough that it acts a bit like a stability shoe, keeping me from pronating or supinating. Finally the search is over. I highly recommend these shoes for those heavy runners who want to run on a cloud.

I'd also recommend: Brooks Dyad, Brooks Addiction

I wore Brooks Ariel for years and then they changed the foot bed, making it narrower. Ugh! Did one run and my Morton's Neuroma which had been dormant for 2 years came back with a vengeance. My podiatrist put me in these running shoes. Fantastic! Wide enough for my wide feet and lots of cushioning. Morton's neuroma is back under control. Surgery avoided (hopefully) for a while longer.
