Got these shoes to work out in. I like the New Balance brand because I am hard to fit and have a high arch and have a wide ( EE ) foot, a weird combination that a lot of people seem to have. These shoes fit me well, and I have been happy with the fit and quality. The first pair I ordered was too small for me but the Zappos company made it really easy for me to return them and get the right size in no time flat. Customer service on the phone was Way Beyond Excellent. These folks really seem to CARE. Considering what is out there now for online consumer experience, I gotta tell you, Zappos really rocks.

This pair of walking shoes are extremely comfortable. Zappos has a great selection of hard to find bigger sizes and are very prompt at delivering the goods. I will continue shopping with them.

Love the shoes. Just ordered my 6th or 7th pair. Only one problem: the fourth eyelet from the bottom always pulled through the leather, and I'd have to order a new pair. Took my latest pair to the shoe repair shop and had them put in a metal eyelet to see if that will help. I've never worn out a pair. Just ripped the eyelet.
Excellent service. The initial order size was too small and the replacement was delivered before we were able to return the initial order.

The New Balance 608 is in my opinion the perfect cross training shoe. This is my third pair of 608\'s and I am sorry to hear that New Balance is dropping the shoe and replacing the shoe with the 622 which I bought a pair of also however did not care for the style although the shoe fit well thus I returned them. The fit of these 608\'s is very true to size and given the country that shoes are made in makes a huge difference as to how the shoes will fit. The pair I received from Zappos originated in Indonesia which fit very well given the shoes were not made in the United States or the United Kingdom. Zappos provides fantastic service and provides a huge selection of shoes for their customers to choose from. Needless to say I am very happy with the purchase of the New Balance 608\'s and I am very happy with Zappos I will most definitely be back to Zappos when I need shoes.

We purchased these shoes for my husband as he has a large foot and it is not possible to shop at a local store and find shoes that fit. Zappos carries the size he needs and these fit great; he finds them very comfortable. We especially wanted to mention that we ordered these shoes on a Monday at 5:30 pm; the shoes were at our door on Tuesday! You can't beat that kind of service.

Shoes came in a day. Put them on and have been wearing them everyday since. The fit is perfect and they are very comfortable. They look great too.

No break-in required!
I bought these for my husband for his birthday. He put them on and said they felt comfortable right away! He has a narrow foot so it's great to be able to find great looking and fitting shoes! He usually takes an 11 or even a 10 1/3, but in New Balance the 12 narrow fits perfectly.

608 not for me -
I tried this New Balance and found that it was somewhat uncomfortable... I then went to a local mall and tried all kinds of new balance shoes, first 9.5, then 10... 'cause i usually wear either of these sizes depending on shoe and manufacturer, I even tried wide widths... bottom line is that i can't wear new balance, period... the good news is that ASICS shoes are made to order for my particular foot... go figure!

I have been buying New Balance sneakers for over 20 years. They always had a good fit. I ordered 11 double E, and my foot would not fit. Same size for all these years. Had to go to 11 4E, to get a fit...

The best shoe for retail wear.
This is the only shoe that works for me. I work on a cement floor and do a lot of walking every day. With this shoe my feet feel terrific after a long day. The wide width is a plus for my foot also. With this shoe every shoe is true to width and the comfort is top rate.

My son loves these sneakers. He has a very wide foot and it is extremely comfortable, width is true to size and look is "cool". He always has me running to find the MX608. You can't go wrong with this sneaker.

2nd pair of MX608 -
Zappos has given me great service on every order I have ever placed with them.The 608s are good shoes for the money. The uppers don't seem to be as heavily constructed as other NB shoes I have purchased in the past. Maybe a sign of the times.

Great shoes!
When I got these, like other shoes, I took out the thin liner and put in some Super Feet to help my walking comfort. Immediately it was too much and I find that these have a better sculpted foot bed than most shoes and therefore don't require the orthotics I normally use. I wear size 15's. Comfortable, sharp looking, fits great. With mostly leather upper they make my feet a bit hot on warm days (my feet run hot as it is). Great shoes!

I love the New Balance shoes since I have wide feet. This is a decent shoe, perhaps I have fonder memories of the old NB shoes in terms of width and arch support, or this one just needs to break in. It feels slightly tight in the width and a little low on the arch support.

Disappointing - This is the third pair of black MX608s I've owned, but I'm going to have to send this one back for being too small. It's not just uncomfortable - it's unwearable. The sole is visibly shorter than the "identical" shoe it was supposed to replace.

My husband suffers from back problems, leg pains, and corns between his toes. He also broke his heel on a fall from a ladder. He works on his feet all day on a concrete floor and these are the only shoes I have found for him that he is comfortable in. I just ordered a second pair for future use.
